Tencent have its own heat value. I think the highest one is Dream of Splendor with 33k. LTTG 31k. So drama need break 30k to consider really popular drama.

But for every other 10k heat value is the highest. Only top tier dramas such LBFAD or Immortal Samsara can reach that. The Starry Love also reach10k.

Jeremy is way better in this drama than ChongZi. FL reminds me Cheng Sao Sang, she is mischievous because bad past and unfair treatment she got.

Both ML and FL when they acting their persona is pretty amusing. ML needs to pretends as jerk lazy crown prince and FL need to pretends she is weak simple minded. Both are opposite of their persona.

She is not straight said that she wanted to become FL. BL already controversial topic even back in 2017. Producer and Director can't decide if they wanted The Untamed become BL or else before production. Zoey Meng had a talk with producer and director that suggested just make it non BL and turn character she play as love interest of Wei Wuxian. People gone mad and start attacking her that she wanted to become FL and took a spotlight.

Because that outrage. producer turn The Untamed into "BL" like we know. People still attacking her and try cancelled her. They nitpicky everything she do. People criticize her have a bad attitude during reality show. We already know reality show is not real and she just play a character.

I think they can rent their own set to another studio/production company. So technically building set is like an investment IMO.

It is very often they reuse a movie sets. But usually they changed a little bit and give it its own flair. Heaven Hall in TSL actually the same Heaven hall in Ashes of Love. I can recognize it.

Really high budget drama usually make their own setting. Immortal Samsara built its own Heaven Realm and Dragon palace. LBDAF also built so many sets such Arbiter Hall.

Idols just simply means people that entertaining by simply have a good look and perform on the stage. Actually there are lot of idols that later have career as an actress such Zhao Lusi, Esther Yu or Kiku/Jujing Yi. It is become negative derogatory because those idols usually depends too much on their look not their acting skill. Right now it become like half insult to describe " Only style no substance"

Yeah Avenuex call this idol drama actually incorrect because all main leads are not idols but actors that graduate from acting school. It is just her way to call " Style over substance"

I don't know sometimes BL fans are so dang toxic and BL ban is their karma. If only they stopped so frantic and annoying on the internet. Also I think because that incident she have difficulty finding a main role. She always play support character in last 4 years.

So far pretty good. Seems it will be just light romance with little bit angsty.
