If you ask Hollywood to do CGI for 40 episodes under less than two years deadline, they will laugh at your face. Technically doing CGI for 40 ep is just insanely high workload. So it is not possible to have same level of polish, they just push more effort for important scenes.


The thing is Cdrama always been good with practical effect with static landscape. CGI especially particles and magic array looks pretty good. It is animal CGI and compositing that always weak. LBFAD actually do not have too much action scenes. CGI mostly landscape with static BG.

TTEOTM is super hard to do , even their CGI team said it.

So technically without Li Su Su , TJJ easily turn Ming Ye which actually the God of War the last defender against The Demon Lord into his side. TTJ beaten Sheng Kingdom, he gain access to Abys and become unstoppable by absorbing Abys Demon. Right?

So the last defender against Demon Lord slumber into madness. No wonder they so helpless. Even Cosmos God that send back LSS say she the only last resort to save entire world.

They really blow up their budget for Mingyue arc. But since I am not novel reader, is Mingyue just dream or a past? It is so amusing have TTJ which Demon Lord fighting a Demon Lord.

Ofc you can't compare it to slowburn court drama like The Story of Minglan. About characters lack of direction and lack of details that I agree but I think explaining little details like how they catch the fish or get the pestle will be waste of time. Again it is Xianxia, people wanted to watch character shooting laser from their palm and doing something bigger than life than watching how they catch a fish.

Bro going from nearly dead poisoned to become King in couple minutes. I agree with everyone it is move way too fast. I still understand it but no build up for important moment such become King of Jin. My guess they choose to cut Mortal arc because Immortal Arc is more important on big picture. Immortal arc should be worth it.

People complaining IS was outdated but for me it feels more special because they build so many unique set pieces. I think that's why IS is more enduring than any other xianxia drama. IS always remains on top 10 historical drama chart even after 9 months later.

I am curious budget of this drama compared Immortal Samsara. Youku claimed IS was really high budget drama. I think that was true because IS have more unique set pieces than TTEOTM.

I recognize so many reuse buildings and interior in TTEOTM.

TTJ is definition of psychopath. They can't feel a thing. But they can understand it.

I find it cute FL call TTJ " Xiao Mo Shen" Little Devil God. TTJ is like some naughty kid for her but actually kinda does. TTJ now is an infant and prototype of Devil Lord.
