Pioneer of Xianxia romance. The one started xianxia craze.
Before this romance was just historical but this drama introduce new type of romance we never seen before. Everything after this just following the same formula. Kuddo to everyone involved with making of this drama, it was such groundbreaking one.
This drama story is just wattpad story written by thirsty 15 years old haha. At least it is not too long and can be enjoyed during dinner/breakfast as guilty pleasure.
Underrated drama. It is so unique, modern drama with xianxia aspect. Initially I watched this because short clip of Si Teng in Qi pao. I do not expect superpower demonic plant. I thought it is just regular romance without anything supernatural.
Si Teng is cool badass FL . Demon Hunter group is pretty interesting. They are your usual Demon Hunter sect in Xianxia / Wuxia but because modernization, a younger parts of the sect just do not have it. They reluctantly become part of the sect because they are family member of the member of the sect. Not much romance but FL and ML doing a great job.
Later episode become slow and have so many unnecessary plot without FL and ML. Overall I enjoyed it. Scenery also looks beautiful and pleasant to look at. Qin Fan's house such iconic and pretty house
Short and easy drama to watch, not complicated. Funny as well. I don't know why people complaining age gap, FL and ML are same age in drama. ML actor do not looks like 16 years old and FL looks younger than her age. It's work for me.
I really wanted Cheng Yi play another drama with character similar to Xuan Ye. I can't help to think Xuan Ye is the most unique bad character in Xianxia. Dongfang Qing Cang looks cool but it still just usual Dylan Wang but cooler. But Xuan Ye totally different stroke.
Production is really low. It is a small project, Probably C tier. I watch it just to see FL, i like her a bit in Immortal Samsara. I uploaded some pics but I edited it to make it looks better, the actual drama have little or no post production. It looks so bland. I feels like this drama just done really really fast, like one month or probably less. They borrowing staff, wardrobe and setting from another drama.
I don't know , probably producer wanted to testing FL and ML before put them in bigger project and see audience reaction. Or newly established studio doing their baby step. Not sure since so little information about this show.
