Watching this show with The Ring of Power at the same time is a mistake. Character just do not makes sense, male characters are dumb, FL is annoying , dreadful dialogues, bad writing and plot is all over the place. Yeah, I am talking about Ring of Power, it is so bad. What's happening, they can't hire a better writers with 1 billion USD? IDk why I ranting about another show here.

IS feels like classic xianxia, I have nostalgia feeling inside me for some reason. The way characters represent is classic, no modern interpretation put into it. Hence why some people call it " boring " because no stroke of modernism or edgy design. Also I get it why people like LBFAD, design and everything have modern touch.

Afterall we are lucky, we get two amazing xianxias this year with different touch.

Special Episode should have ZhiXi resurrected at mortal world and have her help YD put a wedding dress. It is such missed opportunity.

Plot convenience will exist in fantasy story, it just something that inevitable. Heck even LOTR have so many convenience like Aragorn get Anduril and look he have ghost army to beat Mordor invaders. It is just how those convenience explained enough in the lore. The most convenient thing in IS is how last artifact actually is in Yelan Mt but it explain why Yelan MT have such powerful healing power since beginning. Even that there is a consequence when they took the artifact, Yelan MT become dry land and spirits lost their home. It is not like " here is your plot convenience and bye "
