What's your point? AoL is one the best and famous xianxia out there. Prolly more well known than L&R. Clearly if you watch AoL as a whole, those things you called "filler" are important for world and character building. Same as IS, those " filler " have strong theme and is not random story. Heck even last Xuan Xiang arc, there are so many things happened and characters have it own closure. We finally know the reason why Heaven attacked Demon cause Tao ZiQi murder, than we exposed with demon Disguise spell which will be important on later arc. Fu Shuang than have her own closure, she have one sided admiration for XX and gave up her beauty disguise.

Don't tell me this kind of story is unnecessary filler.
