I think XLH fall in love with DFQC when she said being with him is like tasting some candy. She never have a problem with being alone, she have no problem with bitter but once taste some candy/sugar, she can't let it go.

Lol Youku was pretty horrible as well with Immortal Samsara marketing. Til this day we still do not have fan meeting.

I am also grown up with old TVB series. My grandma was massive fan of The White Snake Legend and The Return of Condor Heroes, I watched it with her. So I am become familiar with all those genre lol

Xianxia : Story contain gods, spirit, immortals and all mythical being. Ex : The Journey To the West.

Wuxia : Story contain only mortal, no Gods. People can fly or do martial art. Ex : The Legend of Condor Heroes.

Historical : No flying people. grounded and based on reality. Ex : Romance of The Three Kingdoms.

Finished it, now it is really up there as my top fav Xianxia drama. At first the title of the drama just did not catch me, too generic I guess. But oh boy, it was sure fun and tear jerking ride. TBH i'd rather watch xianxia with shorter ep and cramped like this even though I think the third act could be longer. Goddess Xi Yun could have extra moment. Her wed with Changheng also could have more moment.

Main premise and plot just something I've seen somewhere before but it is execution and acting that really good. Ost just so good. When it is sad, it is sad. When it is upbeat, it is happy. Amazing OST really lift up a moment. While main plot is typical but so many details and subplot are full of twist and breath of fresh air. People missing out a great drama/story if they really think it just another cliche drama.

I like Chi Di and Rong Hao subplot, it is such complicated story of love. Any encounter with Chi Di is so full of twist and the story took unexpected turn. End of them also done beautifully albeit tragic one.

Dylan Wang and Yu Shu Xin just so perfect for the role.

This drama need to be good, top tier cast. Source material/manhwa is pretty famous worldwide like Mo Dao Zu Shi.

I feel like Shuiyuntian and Moon tribe are not entirely good or bad. They are kinda grey.

The only truly bad is Tai Sui the Evil God and he is behind all of bad things that's happening.

Currently watching LBFAD , I am completely realize how YD is truly free care character. YD do not have attachment to anything. Orchid fairy however have strong attachment for her home The Arbiter Hall. Ah I missed YD and YY.

Dylan Wang looks like Luo Yun Xi and Deng Lun if they have a baby.

DFQC can burn everything with hellfire but he can't burn his tree of love. So poetic.

This drama already had haters before airing. People hated Hanrui.

LOTR elves technically just same as xianxia Immortals. They live so long, so stoic and have so much composure. Elves also life in different place apart from the rest of human which makes them disconnect with the world affair unless it affected them.
