It is kinda interesting how Korea and China handles scandal. In China, government usually swift take an action by blacklisting but the public do not devolve into toxic cesspool. In Korea, government rarely interrupt but public can go super toxic and keep escalating with cyber bullying. Korean actors suffered heavily, so many poor soul took out their life.

Checking this because Chen Du ling. But it is such weird drama, really all over the place and plot just happening randomly. Production looks cheap and outdated, lot of character wearing some whacky out of place costume. 56 episodes just crazy unnecessary but it is how they ran back in the day.

Yang Zi is big name now. They can't just release this if it going to be mediocre or bad. I'd rather this shelved forever than released as a mess.

No one know. But I think because political stuff , it is based of Japanese works. Other drama based on Japanese anime also shelved. They never had a problem adapting Japanese but now it seems problematic.

But probably other reasons as well. Problematic production or quality do not passable enough for airing. You know making those dramas are extremely difficult and so many things can go wrong. There are ton of shelved Chinese dramas out there.

Overall vibe reminds me Ashes of Love and The Starry Love. Loving it so far. Not every drama need to be complicated and edgy., I liking it simple sometimes.
