It is the most Japanese Cdrama ever.

Entire ML family massacred by Marquis which is not the biggest fish. No one bat an eye and the bad guy took his position afterwards. It is not that important and proved my point again. At least, that's what they wanted to convey in drama.

ML's father was skilled Astronomer but still do not prevent his dead. Astronomer is disposable without power. It was medieval era, skill only do not guarantee their life. You need some backing from more powerful people.

Not as high as Minister or Eunuch. Definitely lower than Noble such Prince, Marquis or Duke. Hence why ML never look for trouble with anyone, his job pretty much extremely disposable.

Finally airing. I don't get why with three years delay but here it is.

It have romance but it mostly angsty.

Really solid writing so far. If all 40 episodes like this, it will be one of the best drama.

Hollywood violence just goofy and have no strong emotional context.

I kinda expected less from Xiao Zhan drama where all teenager girls watching it. I know old monarchy was brutal.

No one going to say this drama is so violence and brutal?

ML is not martial artist.

It is some fantasy/supernatural element just for plot device. But most of it is political

He was not there on massacre.

The difference is ML can't do martial art. So he need use other ways for revenge.

This movie is just bad. Even CGI in drama is way better than this.

Liu Yu Ning always play similar character and always have same appearance.

I feel so far her scandal not as severe like tax evasion. The best scenario is being low profile and have Eleanor Lee will not attending promotion event. Like Kunning Palace when they had a scandal with SML. But still it will be postponed with unknown release date.

There are lot type of drama. But people just watch romance idol drama because it is the famous one and people just love seeing beautiful faces. Real drama always the best in term of story, they touch a real life problem such poverty, drug or wealth gap but such drama never famous in MDL or international .

Qing Dynasty setting already shift from harem to real politic historical drama that touch heavy topic like civil war, dissolve of the nation and corrupt monarchy.
