Chinese Paladin is nostalgia for so many fans there. They become less objective with such rose tinted glasses. But I understand if they unhappy with adaptation but it is unnecessary to bashing actress or anyone that liking the show. That's what happening in Douban, people will downvote anyone that liking the drama. People just wanted it to be review bombed.

I guess she simply miss cast in The Longest Promise. They wanted her to become typical fairy beautiful shallow character but she ain't that.
Also it is not Cdrama witout bad CGI animal, alright.
