The old drama was kinda dated. They wanted to remake it but failed to do so. This movie already had development hell, they can't find FL until Du Ling.

I am 35 years old and this drama touching so many thing of me. Regret of the past, desire to go back to the past. Maturing sucks and it kill so many enjoyment in my life but I have no choice.

People liked it for Fuzzy feeling of the past, I think you are expect wrong from this drama. It is Nostalgic drama so don't expect anything edgy or crazy. If you wanted something uncommon, watch other else like crime dramas such The Long Season or The Bad kids. Or political drama. But usually those dramas do not have idols or pretty face.

Hong Ruo is Demon Queen, you can 't just coming and ask her if she possessed. She also shown most of time life rather secluded and just appear when she just needed.

If it low spirit like Ayin possessed, those immortals already slain her or something. So it is makes sense in their world.

It flopped. Technically they had no confident with this movie, they depends on Chen Du Ling popularity. Which do not work because Du Ling still not S tier like Lusi or Yang Zi.
