I know in the novel, the emperor is the big baddie but he seems so sincere, it's hard to believe he really did kill his brother. i wonder if they are going to change the storyline...also really looks like Jiang Ci's shifu has no clue who killed Prince Qi and she truly thinks it's Xiao Haitian who betrayed Prince Qi so bringing her back to Qiankang I don't think will help Wei Zhao's case at all. I feel bad for Wei Zhao/XWX, he keeps hitting dead ends with his search for the answer to clear his father's name. However, I think he's picking up on some clues that there might besomething to do with the emperor. I was reading some threads criticizing the FL and shifu and people wanting the shifu to die. I don't really understand as the shifu is such a loving aunt. All she wants to do is protect Jiang Ci and it really looks like she has no clue about what really happened with Xiao Haitan. I think Jiang Ci being very angry towards the ML is understandable since she feels deeply betrayed. She fell in love with him and she invested a lot of feelings into him. She even almost died from dysentery trying to save the yueluo people so realizing he set her up to find her shifu who means more than her own life, I don't think she cares the reason anymore, anything that will endanger her shifu crosses the line for her.

For novel readers, can you spoil me with how Wei Zhao finally clears his family name and why he dies in the novel at the end? :(

Remember he grabbed and tried to assault her? He's done a lot of shady things like making her stab him, keeping her at the manor against her will. He just keeps wanting to take her back and cage her like a bird but she wants to be free. Deep down I think she has a lot of gratitude still towards him since he saved her a few times but she also knows he's always using her, and scheming something behind her back. Also his obsessiveness towards her I think freaks her out. Meanwhile, although ML tried to kill her a few times, she now realizes it's all because he's trying to protect people he loves so his intent is good. She also did ruin his plans many times and caused the death of a number of his comrades so she feels guilty towards the ML. Now, she just wants to follow the ML so I think seeing PY scares her more than ever, esp since she is hoping to reunite with her Shifu.

That was funny but one thing I noticed was that they said all the men are very handsome in Yueluo but no one is handsome there! That one catching Yulian is the only one who looks decent lol

I think Jiang Ci said that to basically save Wei Zhao from being exposed as Xiao Wu Xia. She says he isn't Xiao Wu Xia and to justify why she knows, she says she is actually his wife to cover up for Wei Zhao. For Wei Zhao, he purposely got caught and used himself as bait to figure out who the spy is in Yueluo planted by that general. This is my understanding, not sure if it's 100% accurate

I am confused with the broadcast dates. It says EP 22 is broadcasting tmr but it already got released so are we getting EP 23-24 tmr?

I need to praise Li Landi, her acting is incredible. Her facial expressions and everything are all so on par. She dubs herself and she has a beautiful voice. Her scenes with the ML oozes so much chemistry. I love it! Jiang Ci is one of my favorite FL characters of all time. She's so wholesome, yet so intelligent. RJL really nails the ML role. I like Jeremy's 2nd ML character, I know some fans don't like that he took this role but I think he's doing a really good job with it. He is obsessive with the FL but it's understandable since the FL is so darn likeable.

This drama is gripping and the ML is ruthless at the start of the drama, but we gradually learn the suffering he has been through and the reasons behind his motives. RJL is smoking in this drama as I mentioned before. His styling esp when he is in Yueluo looks amazing. The acting is top notch for the ML, FL and 2nd ML. Lots of scheming, romance, love triangle, tension, angst, sweet moments between the leads. Not much humour as it's quite an intense drama. It's not a light-hearted drama, sort of like Journey to Love. I am really enjoying it so far.

I think something changed the moment she said she won't stop him with his plans and after the old couple died. I noticed after that, his attitude towards her really started to change esp how she cared about him when he was wounded. That's just my observation.

So sad...One and Only shattered me, I was hoping there would be a happier ending for RJL in this drama. The way that Wei Zhao is evolving to be a warmer, caring ML reminds me of his character as Zhou Sheng Chen in One and Only.
