I know Ye Li is helping MXY out of gratitude and feeling indebted but I also see it as she does see him as her husband. She may not be in love with MXY yet like he has with softening up and being protective but she sees him as her equal. A partner she plans to spend her life with and get along with. So while she may not be aware of her feelings or developed that kind of affection towards him yet, Ye Li being a supportive wife and seeing MXY for what he is and not seeing his disability as an inconvenience makes for a good slow burn romance. Noting that she is way younger than MXY, she still does have some things to learn on top of her own internal problems. They both aren't perfect but I like that so far we can see them as a couple willing to learn from each other with respect.

She clearly communicated with him about MJL and even got him to fold when she mentioned about the snakes, The regret in MXY's eyes when he realized A'Li was waiting for his rescue struck a chord. You can truly feel he was touched by her words when he caressed her cheeks. Ye Li's got him wrapped around her finger. Oh and his trust in her with no doubt to fix his legs even left Ye Li stunned. I love this couple too much!
Honestly, after watching Ep. 12, I'm just now starting to understand the politic side of things lmao. 😅 The multiple POV's we are getting is so good. I like that we learn of MJL's background. although I don't like his behavior towards Ye Li, when it comes to politics, I understand he was cornered into being this "useless" character. I can only hope he can set his mind straight and focus on the big picture. I know he could probably care less about the throne as long as he gets to be with Ye Li but he was born into royalty. 😕

In terms of politics, I agree about MJL. I like that we also got his POV. At 13 with no backing, it's unfortunate he was cornered into that position but now that he's slowly building his way back, one can only he hope he has clear sights and doesn't get distracted.
