They literally hugged twice and not once was it awkward. In other dramas, loud music would have started playing and MXY would have gone into shock while the camera pans in circle around them for a 1st hug lol. Honestly, the natural bond of Ye Li and Mo Xiuyao after marriage is what hooked me in when reading the novel and i'm glad it's stayed the same. It's the part that convinced me about Bai Lu and Cheng Lei playing these characters. 😍
This whole Lishan Mountain thing is driving me crazy. I want to really know what happened. Does no one around know what happened from 8 years ago or is it all in Ye Li's head and they're playing along with it? For ex) with the whole tree thing. I know she did it for Brother He but what if the conversation with the classmates dad was all in her head for some kind of closure? I don't know if that makes any sense or if I'm just over thinking but her keeping the letter didn't make it anymore helpful with my speculations.
Also, I find it interesting that they changed Mo Jingli and Ye Li to have known each other from when they were younger at Lishan Academy. I just know his excuses are about to annoy the heck out of all of us. lol

While I wait, I'd like to point out that the color grading or editing of this is so eye pleasing. It's very natural, realistic and even if there's a darker tone it feels refreshing to watch without so much filter. Also, we've only seen Mo Jing Li twice but he's already giving me loser vibes just as much as he was in the novel. Lol this poor guy is going to grind our gears.

I was thinking the same. No Xu brothers but I guess the Uncle is the combination of all of them. I'm just glad they have someone in the Ye Family on her side.
