YY and HMX are so funny because they both accurately depict young teens who are still naive to the world. If it was in any novel, they'd fit perfectly for these young ages that the writers always write about.

Also, Bai Lu and Cheng Lei take the cake for both being expressive through their eyes and not having to say any words. I love Cheng Lei for his micro expressions but the way he looked at Ye Li when she was painting was chefs kiss. He was totally enamored by her. I love how that scene was done. And then when Ye Li teared up learning about the painter while MXY stared at her in confusion with a little distress. Omg! the sentiment and emotions all in one room was amazing.

Were those hot red ears naturally from Cheng Lei or what?! MXY is so stinking adorable around Ye Li. This man is so smitten for his wife. The disappointment he had when he thought Ye Li was asleep so he couldn't share the honey cakes with her was so cute. Also, if I was Ye Li, MXY getting out of the wheelchair to kneel down and pay respect to my late mother would have sealed the deal for me. 💖I wouldn't bat an eye at any other man too.

For those of you who are waiting to binge watch, you have so much self control. I can't get enough of this story. I think this would be such a fun one to binge with all the mysteries but I'm too far deep. A daily dose of MXY and Ye Li is needed.

Yes, in terms of his behavior towards Ye Li. It's a big No for me. He lost his chance and now his pride is hurt so he just wants to mend things to ease his ego. He cant look at the big picture.

His annoying ego and pride was so hard to read. I disliked reading about him every time he came up lol
