QQY: "You're a burden to me." Ming Sheng: "It's ok if you don't accept my apology but can you not hate me?" Damn...…
All his trauma resurfaced. The one other person he found important said he was a burden. These 2 don't give us a break with heartache. That reunion better be the sweetest lol.
The conversation by the tree in Ep. 15 ππ Zhou Yiran and Zhang Jingyi did so well. ππ All the emotions…
QQY: "You're a burden to me."
Ming Sheng: "It's ok if you don't accept my apology but can you not hate me?"
Damn... Qiao Qingyu's words stab like a knife to the heart. That truly hurt me too, Ming Sheng. Actually, this whole entire scene hit me hard. Our poor babies. The way MS started tearing up but tried his best to keep every thing in and then told her to leave. Ughh ππHe was so excited to finally talk with Qingyu and the end result was all pain. I want to give them both a hug. Qingyu's turning MS away in order to protect him but it pains to see her safe space slip away.
I'm rewatching Ep. 13 and watching them pack to run away feels like those young couples in dramas who want to elope bc they're in love. No real plans for the after part but it's ok bc they're in love. lol I know that's not quite the case for our leads but maybe it was a better idea that they didn't get to run away just yet. I know the environment is toxic but it's still quite impulsive to just run off. I hope that when they get to finally leave it'll be a satisfactory leave.
QYβs family is so toxic. The dad is taking -10 responsibility for anything, just blaming the mom for how QY…
Exactly! Words have consequences. How do you tell someone to leave and then get angry for them acting on it? And I had the same sentiments for the dad blaming everything on the mom. As if she wasn't both of their's kid.
Ahhh I can't. I just watched episode 14 and 15 trailer, and it's just getting worse. I don't understand why Qiao…
I'm assuming it's the same trope of wanting to protect him by being indifferent so that he leaves and doesn't have to be apart of the mess like you said. And plus with the way her mom is behaving, I'm sure she's doing it to look out for him.
Our poor MingYu ship. I understand his father's reasoning but damn... having to be the one watching from afar really stings for Ming Sheng. I hope they can communicate with each other soon.
Itβs a good drama with good story and heavy themes. When I read the novel, I can quickly move to the progress…
Right?! I literally just finished Ep. 13. That cliff hanger had me on edge. Like how am I supposed to wait until the next episodes? On the other hand, I wonder how they're going to compact everything in these next few episodes. It's suffocating to watch all the characters go through every thing when you really just want them all to heal.
"Don't worry. If it really were an earthquake, I'd take you with me." Ming Sheng may be a loser for Qingyu but I think I'm the biggest loser for the both of them. π They're so awkwardly cute. And the token of gifts between them is such a cute moment.
Ming Sheng's dad made a good point when he said, "The freedom of growing up means you must take full responsibility for everything you do. Kids are the most free because they have less responsibilities." That hit me to the core. As much as I do ship our CP, when you take a step back and look at the big picture, they both are still naive and impulsive. Which makes me more fixated on their growth and how they will continue to face the challenges. There's so much coming.
I forgot it's only 1 episode today and kept trying to click for 12. π Ep. 11 was so good. Both the family issues and romance part. Karma hit the family hard but I know it's not over. At least now they can feel how Beiyu's mom felt. honestly, it still irks me that reputation was still brought up when the Jinrui's friend try to bring Qingyu home. You're part of the problem.
But the snow scene!!! It was such a well shot scene. What a beautiful capture of our leads. The fact that Ming Sheng really came through for Qingyu just melts my heart. This boy is down bad for Qingyu.
I understand we all agree on the entire Qiao family being big no-no's but the audacity of Jinrui. Maybe it's just me but he's definitely being a hypocrite. He's been sending money to Qingyu's parents to atone for his wrongdoings but then goes on to say "We all walk the path we choose. You can't blame others for that." Make it make sense bro. It's easy to say when you're the one who didn't have to face all the shame and backlash. π
