This is GOOD. it so gets what it's doing. the moments the show creates - it's so classic - it's all so simple but it's not really - this is called good writing - it finds the magic in the simple stuff.

The fantasy element is just a tool here. It's the most realistic BL ever done when it comes to gay representation.…

...what a radical opinion! I struggle to see beyond the violence, that boy OFFENDS me so greatly!!
I’m going by my initial response to seeing him and i rather they shaped the character a bit more like the guy in “My beautiful man” than be violent or hateful

14 mins in - i love the story. it's about an anxious wallflower who doesn't mind being bossed around by his "bully"/crush. His thoughts n musings about his crush are adorably poetic ... Japanese BLs feel more intimate. Loving it. Thank you Japan!

This is BL and It's about a one sided relationship - A dark powerful school bully takes a boy under his wing and grows increasingly protective of him...This film could have gone further with this BL aspect but held back. One time watch but it is a compelling one!

Love BL stories about loners vs popular kid. This might go to interesting places, maybe the popular kid is mean and learns to change his ways. If anyone has a list of Japanese/korean BL recommendations let me know.

I don't mind makeup on men but I agree. Sometimes I also think when I see kactors that are more "stiff" that they…
Same, I love men in makeup too, I seriously appreciate how awesomely bts pulls off make up - it just looks right & look forward to it becoming more mainstream. but I find it distracting in cases like these bbecause it isn't r believable for most of those school boy characters to spend their mornings applying foundation, lipstick and concealer for school. All actors need makeup to be on camera but if it's too visible on screen then it looks too staged and it works against the show - like in one K-bl the highschool boys had lip stains applied.

I noticed this in US vs UK television also - in the UK tv series the actors look more real, attractive but in a everyday sort of way - like you'd see kids with acne and varying skin textures and asymmetrical features of various sizes and colors where as in the US there is this type they're looking for.

i like Japanese BLs a lot more now that i think of it. Korean culture has a very restrictive beauty standard and it shows, in some K-BLs it's like you're watching things through a bright filter & the makeup is unnecessarily visible on the boys, it's zaps away the realness when you note it. Where as in Japanese BLs, the lighting, casting, and makeup - it's more grounded in reality, the people look more natural with a warmer natural atmosphere. This really adds to the feel good factor. I liked this show and i love the atmosphere built around this.

Person Suzuki Jin
very pleased to have recognized him in Kieta Hatsukoi ... he's just as convincing as the cheerful upbeat buddy in this one as he was a tsundere in given. Good actor.

How on earth do I benefit from "tricking" people into thinking I've watched the show? Is this a joke? This is ridiculous.

You have crossed the limits of irrationality. Can't believe I just wasted my time spelling out the obvious to you. Good riddance!

You are not right, you're just nitpicking very meaninglessly. There is no point in repeating myself, so it's better you read it again:

""""The synopsis does not contradict with what I said because it details the show is about a boy who has been secretly in love with someone for a long time but only specifies that the object of his affections is picking on him - thereby suggesting a one sidedness in this love because it says, "but things change", which implies that Pha goes from "picking on him" to returning his affections, implying that that was not the case before. So you are wrong because the synopsis is under the same pretense in favor of not revealing the shows twist. None of this needed to be spelled out.""""

The show narratively lends itself to be read in this fashion until the twist is revealed. This is why keeping in line with that, the synopsis keeps the pretense of unrequitedness & change of heart even though it was requited & there was no change in affection.

Cheers!
