I did a full rewatch before the 7 or 8th ep because i wanted to spot clues and hints....will do one again after this thursday while I wait for the Finale Week.
The way they are prolonging this, I think Daon actually doesn't have any romantic feelings for Taekyung. He just…
I seriously WISH your theory comes out to be true. I would find it too tragic having Daon mope around while Tae-Shinwoo (my desired ship) sail towards couplehood...it would make the end a bit bitter sweet and i don't want that to be the case because it sorta leaves a big question of what if Daon was ready & Tae is making the wrong choice...
i want this Daon chapter to be closed, for him to be straight and not into Tae. I'm not fond of Daon tbh or the idea of him being w tae - he has this strong mothering maternal energy...it's hardly romantic imo.
Wish we could have episodes with da on and shinwoos point of view. I wanna know what going on thier mind.
I think we're pretty clear on Shin Woo right? He's admitted he's had feelings for Tae for a very long time before he joinced the council and in the closing scene, he just took Daon's permission to go after Tae. That scene also made it very evident that Daon liked Tae but can't move forward with accepting himself atm and hence gave permisionn to ShinWoo to chase Tae instead.
What we really need is a little more light on Tae's changing feelings for Shin Woo.
Whats happening where the story has gone ? I left it at 7 due to there wasn't romance between shinwoo and tae…
At the moment the story has shown Shin Woo definitely loves Tae, he has admitted this to Nam & Daon and has admitted to the audiences that he's loved him for a while and is clearly willing to chase him and stand by him in hope of declaring his love and winning his affections. But Tae is UNAWARE still, Tae has NO CLUE Shin Woo has been in love with him - long before he joined the council. All Tae is doing is being heartbroken after not getting the affection he wants from Daon.
At the moment the friendship of Tae-Shin is deepening. Their repartee, banter & chemistry is more evident. they have more scenes than before - still not enough, but it's realistically paced in my opinion. There has been at least one (or more) hint that Tae has some feelings for ShinWoo but he is still not completely conscious of his own feelings IMO & it's not very rewarding to follow this, i keep hoping for clearer signs of Tae's feelings for ShinWoo but this show will make us wait...Tae will need time to untangle & get over Daon. But i think you should get back into the show now, it's coming close to where you want it to be....they have to wrap this 4 eps...i think they will drop more clearer hints of Tae's new growing affection for Shinwoo now onwards.
Watching ShinWoo being frank about his feelings for Tae when he talks to Daon is defineitely a lot of progress...and it's nice seeing this phase of unrequited love.I don't think Shin Woo will keep his feelings hidden for long now though..going by the number of eps & the last cliff hanger, Shinwoo should be saying it all to Tae this week.... Tune in!
I just want to point out that in ep 12 in the classroom scene, Shin woo has a mariner sweatshirt on and there…
to come to think of it - none of his earlier costumes had any visible writing on it before right...you could be on to something. I always see ShinWoo in black, always two layers....but I dont believe there was visible text on his clothes. Colors also might forshadow ... maybe his clothes get lighter in shades too
Just wanna say that this could probaly be the best BL of 2021, if they didn't f..k up the end. The Actor who plays…
Shin Woo draws you in doesn't he ... you miss him when he's not in a scene.
His appearance is also attractive but it's so understated - like his looks are more down to earth & relatable and also handsome at the same time. Like at a glance you won't think much, but the more the camera is on him, the more you notice and appreciate and find cute. I think those are the faces that work the best both on camera and in real life.
The character is also quite unique - for a main lead, he isn't exactly mr perfect , he isn't the fearless one or the strongest boy around but he is very brave and courageous in different ways, in ways that matter more.
Like he can't fearlessly fight w his fists w his bullies, but he's the same boy who will stand up to the bullies for Tae's sake or he is extremely brave when it comes to accepting his affections for Tae, and willingness and openness to date Tae without fear of people around him. I like that he isn't perfect but still strong and admirable.
This director has a way of drawing you in to the drama and into the characters' world and I love that.I'm not…
im on the same page - i love the acting style ... it makes it more real .... more immersive ... puts you in rthe skin of Uenoyama........the pulling and pushing and the exploding of that energy...those are basically the turns of the storyline...it follows the ride of his emotions......it's makes the story come alive..i think it's intentional on the directors part-it breathes life..gives these high peaks and low falls in what is otherwise a simple story line. Maybe im making too much of it...i donno hehe
wait...what about ep12 made you think Tae-daon are endgame? is it becuase we saw Daon kind of admitting he is…
yeah, the character of Tae needs a lot more time & a lot more 'aha' moments for him to jump from being new friends to "I think love I Shin Woo" - he's got a lot of learning to do as well - but the momentum has sorta picked up with showing Tae touching his cheek - i think the show will keep building on moments like these, giving a nice slow burn and give these two a lot more time before Tae starts feeling noticeably drawn to SHinWoo.
Doing the right thing even when it hurts the hardest is a bittersweet and heartwarming thing to see in a character…
yes, yes forgot about that moment. you can see a lot nudges & indirect things that show Tae's unrealized interest in Shin Woo right from the beginning right ...
everything about Tae's crush on Daon has been vocalized but maybe & i hope the show is trying to prove that his dynamic with Shin Woo shows that even though not much is said, their moments together show something more deeper n richer than just a crush.
I might be digging into it too much but:I am honestly not sure if TK likes DO as a person, or if he just liked…
comparing the first stage of Tae-Daon friendship to Tae-Shinwoo friendship might give you clues to the quality of relationships Tae has with the two guys - i care about this because I am trying my best to prove his affection for Daon isn't that deep and their relationship doesn't have much to it.
in ShinWoos case, Tae learns they both share the same interest in romantic films and you'll notice their scenes always put both of them on equal footing - where Tae isn't always passive or like the kid but Tae holds the reins in their dynamic a lot of times and puts ShinWoo on his toes too and Shinwoo too gets to be the one in charge like he did in ep12 telling off Tae fro not studying. There is actuall chemistry in their relationship, you actually catch Tae teasing Shin playfully sometimes too, Tae is actively playing around with ShinWoo - they both look like they're having fun.
Where as with Daon, the dynamic is more still, it's more sedate. Tae is a bit more passive around him - not as light and playful, so you can say he isn't being his whole self around him.Daon is the one being like the mom and there is not much repartee - not much carefree back and forth - no banter - how is this even exciting for Tae, becuase this guy is pretty spirited n daring when he wants to be (when around Shinwoo).
The way I see it, i hope Tae will come to realize that he doesn't have much of a compelling pull towards Daon at all. It makes more sense if Tae comes to see that he's crackling with all sorts of feels and tension around Shinwoo & that whatever emotion he has towards Shin Woo can easily outdo what he little he feels towards Daon - think a separation from ShinWoo would break him more than a separation with Daon.
You're spot on, Suzuki emotes in a very heightened anime style. It distracted me for only a second and I soon…
yeah, he walked the line there and it is believable. i kinda like he went in this direction, makes the scenes & moments come alive in a sense - i like the intensity
Shin Woo being selfless despite the situation being in his favour. That was so mature. He's an angel. We don't…
Doing the right thing even when it hurts the hardest is a bittersweet and heartwarming thing to see in a character . Gotta love Shin Woo for this. There is no way Tae's crush for Daon can ever surpass the affection Shin Woo has for Tae - I'm just hoping the show gives us more to believe that Tae as well has this deep affection for Shin Woo but only hasn't consciously realized it yet.
wait....so is Tae really going to end up with Da on?????????? UGHHHHH WTF WHYYYY...i mean on one side im like…
wait...what about ep12 made you think Tae-daon are endgame? is it becuase we saw Daon kind of admitting he is into Tae?
I can see why you've concluded that becuase Daon's journey in this series is to learn to accept himself & not care for the world, and once he does that, he's all available for Tae & a happy ending ensues - i agree with this, yes, i think Daon will complete this story arc and learn to be himself but I think by the time he gets there it will be too late, by then Tae will have realized his affection for Shin Woo has been there from the start and it's the sort of unrealized affection that is actually deeper and richer, one that surpasses any crush or feelings he had for Daon.
I hope they somehow show that Tae this whole time was unaware of his attraction to Shin Woo. The way I like to see the story, is that Tae is absolutely unaware that he is always sort of choosing to be in Shin Woos company (like on the trip, he so readily goes on for a shopping spree with him), or Unaware at the beginning of the real reason why he wanted Shin Woo to not hate him, or Unaware of his growing appreciation for Shin Woo's good nature and character or unaware that their dynamic chemistry that causes their tiffs or fights is actually rooted in their physical and emotional attraction for each other. -
I hope my theory is right. I know Shin Woo will end up with Tae but I hope it unfolds in the way I have guessed because that way Tae isn't just easily hopping from one unavailable crush to the next available man, but rather ending up with someone who he actually likes more and loves way more than he ever felt for his crush.
it's good enough to pass the time. it might seem fine at first but it won't sustain your interest or engross you…
yeah, Nitiman was terrible! a different kind of terrible becuase it was kind of deceiving, it kept looking and seeming like a BL you'd ideally watch, something that'd tick all your BL boxes but it only ever delivered on boredom on multiple levels. From the bored looking actors, joyless chemistry and the dull situations the story fell into - - it was too dull to watch. golden blood is more watchable.
it's good enough to pass the time. it might seem fine at first but it won't sustain your interest or engross you after a few eps. I wouldn't rely on someone who says this is their favorite because it just can't be. But it's a great premise, no denying that. Give it a watch if you've run out of shows only.
The first few episodes felt like it was going to go in an compelling direction & I got my hopes up but then it instantly lost all steam - it became suddenly puffy & overly sweet within an episode, & in doing so all conflict and tension in the main couple VANISHED in thin air and the following episodes strangely visted some overly familar BL territory & predictable situations even though they had this kind of new premise to play with.
It's since become strictly background watching for me, it cannot hold my full attention no matter the conflict or barriers the story brings in, iI's uneven storytelling, with a lot of unfulfilled potential & heaps of uninspired & overly familiar turns in the story. I dropped the show since the last two eps but i will come back to it. Find it hard to accept that this is what they resorted to after have such a cool premise.
