this is so good! love how quirky all the characters are. Weirdly the only one I'm not a fan of is newyear, I find his character kinda lowkey toxic, not sure if it's just me? i don't think it's the actor's fault, I think it's the way it's written. ditto for Ten I guess, but he doesn't annoy me.

this was fun! I really enjoyed the main couple, and i definitely didn't need the 3rd and 4th couples. I actually wouldn't mind one more episode if it only focuses on the main couple being cute, kind of sucked we didn't get more than a few minutes of them back together at the end. I thought the main two were quite charming, one of the few thai-korean collabs that created a believable couple. Was so glad to have had sangmin speak Thai, even if broken.

Much more than the possibility of cheating, the lack of honest communication between the hetero couple about his needs is the most frustrating to me. The way he's wimped out of just having that conversation with her is easily more annoying.
Like you said, nothing they're doing rn is cheating, and actually it's great that they have someone to talk to, but ideally they would also try to communicate with their partners. Really enjoying the slow burn and I can't wait to see how the show will tackle the rest of the story. I don't usually like emotionally messy stories, but I think they're doing a good job here of showing us the main leads perspectives.

I don't think it's just housemates, his response to Sei communicating with someone else via email and saying he didn't need to change to improve himself and ppl at work not having to like him at work seemed a little possessive. Doesn't have to translate to romantic, but it's also not normal housemate behavior.

relationships are not just about sex, you can have a committed monogamous relationship where sex doesn't play a major or any role. it depends on the relationship.Having said that, i don't know that we can say that the MM couple are actually in an exclusive romantic relationship, we haven't gotten enough information yet. I also don't think the guy in the MF couple is cheating (yet) bc nothing he and the other guy are doing is straying there.

the restaurant scene was quite sad actually, to realize he didn't have anyone to talk to about his relationship.

I totally understand keeping it a secret from those guys, cos they just don't seem supportive, I just hope he makes better friends. Esp from the LGBTQ community as they'll be able to relate to his struggles in society. Whether it's Japan or Korea, he is still going to need some support to move his relationship forward, and he just seems so isolated (unlike his partner who is in the film industry). I would actually have loved to have seen a scene of him being out to someone, like, anyone. I'm not sure he is and they'd been together a few years but the end I think.

this was so good, I really like earth in this role, he's actually really funny. I've seen the OG and this was definitely in the same spirit, but with Thai cultural vibes. I'm really looking forward to watching the rest!

it was a great story, thoroughly enjoyed it, up until ep 10 which just felt rushed and weird at the end for me, specifically the final scenes, where there was some unknown passage of time and plot felt like it had jumped ahead awkwardly. Thankfully, ep 11 saved it. I'm unclear on some of the timeline though. At the end of 10 he proposed and I thought the friends must have gotten a hint at their relationship (at the very least) from having seen the movie, but then in 11 the friends are clearly as thick and awful as always, and our main couple are talking as if they won't be getting married, so...???anyways, I'm choosing to ignore the final scenes of ep 10, cos they make no sense to me, and everything else is great. I just hope minase gets better friends from his adult life, cos his HS ones are just NQR for who he is now.

this was actually pretty funny. also loved all the side characters, and the security guard stole the show when on screen 😂

I hope they tell us any of that at some point, cos part of the oddness is that dinneaw doesn't seem to have much memory of sangmin😂
I'd be happy just to know how long he stayed over with the family, mostly cos the mum seems pretty obsessed

But they resolved their issues early on to mid last season, so not sure why the tension would still be here in this seaso? I'm all for developing dynamics between characters, but I don't see them as being more comfortable with each other as you'd expect with resolved issues.
perhaps I need to rewatch the last season again (I've already seen it twice😂) to see if I'm forgetting something that happened towards the end.
ok, the changes in writers and director(!) makes total sense with this new vibe! it feels a lot less sciencey and more woowoo to me this season 😂

definitely preferred season 1. The cases were more tightly written and I liked the leads' dynamics more. The dynamic between the two leads this season just doesn't feel the same, du Cheng is barely in it, but from the first scenes he's been acting angry or pissy with Shen Yi more this season, which is weird when there's no explanation for the tension. Some of the cases also feel like they were draggy, with more sentimental scenes than in season 1 cases, which I personally don't prefer.
also, Shen Yi isn't doing as many sketches this season and is getting so into psychology and predicting ppl's crimes. seems weird for a sketch artist in the pd, and the explanation for it seemed flimsy.
I still enjoy the show and will likely finish it, but it feels like different writers?

hmm, that's a good question, I hadn't really thought about it. I really like MoD and this is looking good so far too. I didn't realise it was the same writer and universe! that makes so much sense.
The background mystery in MoD was truly dark, and maxtul chemistry was so memorable. So far the mystery here feels a bit lighter to me and it's building more slowly, which I don't mind. I also like the couple here, so I'm def enjoying the show, but time will tell if it can beat the OG 😄

Reminds me a lot of manner of death, ie, return of the prodigal son investigating suspicious deaths, and no one can be trusted, including the super sus mysteries love interest. Fun times!

second episode much better than first, imo. I found I enjoyed all the characters more, maybe they all got into the rhythm or maybe I just got used to their character quirks

this was great, and I'd completely missed that it was supposed to have supernatural elements so was pretty blindsided by the trip into the Lakehouse 😅
Really nice acting by both leads, good romantic tension. Glad I ignored the poor rating, wholly undeserved.
