Can we just please try to evalute dramas for their entertainment value and not get into a heated debate over nothing?…
I think it was bc the drama was so intense we had such strong reactions. I was disgusted and just needed to talk about it.

Now that I look back, I have to say I am impressed by the actors. I felt myself getting super emotional and that rarely happens. A dark emotional roller coaster. And in some weird way I could understand this from their (character's) point of view.

Will I watch something like this again? Nope. But I realize how many crime shows I watch and therefore won't judge someone for watching dramas like these, but it would be nice to have more thai options that are a little less violent.
On Naked Fireman Aug 17, 2017
Watched it bc it was short , but now I want more :(
It was simple but so cute, loved it. !!!

I'm actually enjoying this drama. I feel like a lot of people aren't enjoying it because they went in…
They are comparing, but it is a lot nicer compared to hate American dramas get when they remake a korean drama. Granted they might be right at times (like the american remake of BOF was truly terrible) but I still think each new drama should get a fair chance as a "remake."
On Criminal Minds Aug 16, 2017
I'm liking the remake. They aren't copying everything but enough to remind me of the original. Plus the cast is really trying to bring out some characteristics from the original cast, which at times feels a bit too much but doesn't really take too much away from the show. It is interesting enough to make me curious about the next episode so I'm going to keep watching.

This doesn't have the same feels as God's Gift - 14 Days, not just because this is starring a black…
True the industry is racist but at the same time I'm not going to watch a film just bc it is a BIPOC film. I think saying no racism intended has kinda become a normal add on these days bc if you don't you might get accused of being racist then too....like I don't like the black guy playing L in Netflix death note but then I might have to add the "no racism intended" bc I'm not going to spend the effort finding his actual name (plus i would soon forget it) (ya i could just leave color out but its just meant as an innocent description), for the record its not just L, don't like the white one playing Light either.

I haven't seen the Asian version so I think ill see the American one first. I think this is a story that can actually be adapted well. I mean the concept of mom saving daughter is universal.

Have any of you ever looked at your completed drama list, then tried to calculate how much time you spent watching dramas? I started to but never finished....kinda felt guilty.

Then again people do different things to escape, and dramas I think is a relatively healthy and safe option. Lol sleep is important so i make sure that if it is late then to watch a current drama so I can't watch more even if I want to, just a tip :)

too bad he's a self admitted asshole in real life. if only his personality could be as nice as his face *sigh*
Most of these are ones I have wanted to see so i'll watch them bc good plots and he is attractive I will admit. I think the fact he said that in real life is a good reminder to enjoy a drama but don't start placing the actor on too high of a pedestal. Besides I'm guilty of saying rude things too, it isn't something I'm proud of but sometimes things slip or I don't think it through, but actually doing something is rude is not okay

Personally, I will continue to watch unless they commit a bigger crime that I can't look past. Sure they might be innocent but certain accusations just can't be overlooked. (lol keeping it general bc don't want to mention other actors here and different people might think one crime or action is worse than another)

Ya I agree, guess sistermance is not that common. Plus if the female has a friend I get worried if she'll get betrayed in kdramas.

When it comes to Chinese and thai (the few that I have seen) I think it is important to have a sistermance to balance out the extra evil female lead.

Plus in thai I've noticed gender doesn't matter that much, and unlike kdramas it is possible to have male friends that don't want to date (more common than kdrama but ya not that common)

this show started off very good, but after some 20-ish episode it got kinda draggy. 16 episodes would suffice,…
Lol but isn't that the problem with most dramas....except the new Circle one but that has a slow start..... can't win with dramas
I think this one might have enough of the mystery/crime part to keep me interested so I 'll give it a try.

At first I was like spoilers whatever, I have only seen episode 1, but then as I started reading your review I was like nope. No more spoilers. The characters act like normal people and answers aren't obvious thing is encouraging me to watch the show.
I am still at ep 1 and ya it is slow and confusing in the middle, but by the end up ep I thought it was a good set up. There aren't many shows like this.
And nice article, lol as far as I could read.
On Fullmetal Alchemist Jul 12, 2017
The trailer looks like they tried. Not going to go in expecting it to be epic but I think I can recognize it as an adaptation, the feel is somewhat there.. Its not like Netflix is in charge of this production.

I watched episode 1 randomly and got confused half way through and thought another show got recorded over or something. LOL it makes sense by the end (somewhat) but now I'm curious. Dramas are usually somewhat predictable but this one is kinda new. Plus I like the brother angle.

Finished it, not as good as the original imo since they can't really be recreated, it's a classic but it's a decent…
Korean, Chinese, Thai and Japanese version. Any suggestion which version I should watch first?
yubu Jul 10, 2017
Nice article, just enough details and good choice in pictures. Sometimes I watch a drama and forget that these things happen. I finished Tunnel not too long ago, and as I was scanning the channels on tv just last week, came upon a case where a nurse or someone was killing of older patients by injecting something. Its scary. The next drama I watch will definitely be rom-com

This is the best crime drama of 2017. Each episode is complex. You can't skim through or you will miss key…
Except I'm still struggling with how to pace myself when I come across a good drama. Anyway, you have helped encourage me to start, moving this to the top of my list.
Lol smart bad guys are one thing but why make them so invincible, I loved 2 weeks but I have to say that point bothered me so much, or even worse Remember-War of the son.
HealerDoge Jul 9, 2017
what about historical dramas, is that an exception. It has been awhile but i don't think censored as much, for example in Bridal Mask and there were torture and weapon scenes

It's such a sad news. I try not to follow news on celebrities pertaining their personal life because really…
True he is just human, but I do think celebrities need to be a bit more careful like an adult being careful in front of kids because lets face it he is a role model and has lots of fan that might be influenced. Not saying he needs to be perfect but probably careful about things like laws.

With that said, he should get at least some privacy because it is his personal life and is helping no one by having it out like this.

The 18 month sentence seems like they want to make an example out of him. It seems a bit too long even accepting the fact that it is a crime in s.korea but that just might be me because i'm not from there. Plus while he should probably face some punishment what about help for addiction and i think he had depression (but i could be wrong)?
