Guess we are somehow choosing similar dramas and having the same problem. This guy was just too brutal. Somehow I finished this one but even if he cooked for her everyday of her life it won't be enough. Like ya she can forgive him bc that would help her move on but that doesn't mean marry him. Couldn't the writers come up with something else? Possible scenario that they could have used: he can blackmail her with pics she slept with him but never actually did, and the pics were staged. Sure that is bad too but at least then he can work to be forgiven . I think writers using rape just shows lack of creativity.

I also don't get it. If they are obsessed with rape they need to connect it to evil not romance. Like this is something a bad character would do and our main lead should never accept it . I understand in Asian countries calling the cops might be bad for reputation and stuff (though if she does then consider me impressed) but at the least she should have strength to choose someone else , and not make it like Stockholm syndrome type. Like you said people in real life some seriously suffer and somehow this feels like making their suffering like a joke at times. I'm not the type that frets over a wrist grab but rape isn't something that can be forgiven to the extreme of getting together with the person.

I thought it was going okay and then episode 12 came. There is no excuse for what the guy did. I haven't watched too many thai dramas but I know to watch out for exaggerated characters but the rape thing is too much. This drama is 2011, when will thai dramas realize that we don't like the assault stuff. Anger is one thing but rape is too extreme.
Feel stupid for expecting something better from Saichon.

I think it was mutual but angry between them. A total rape scene would have just ruined the drama for me. Plus you are right, Satit is essentially good, whenever he thinks he went to far he goes back.

I really liked your idea, since I guess I like balanced stories too. I'm not going to fret about a wrist grab (most cases) but male leads can go to far like pushing someone who can't swim into the water.

I don't think writers know the difference between teasing and bullying. I liked watching Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, because that is what teasing looks like, he never hurts her but looks out for her. Characters don't have to be angels, honestly that might not be as entertaining, but don't make them devils....... and then use a not good enough reason to show they are human again. Not everything is redeemable, so at the least writers should recognize that.

This makes it interesting but also confusing. Like how far will the characters fall, because really there is no way to redeem themselves, these wrongs can't be corrected. I have no idea what to expect the ending to be like, since they aren't the perfect characters with happy ending types.

So far the drama has been creating the setting, I think the next episode is going to get busy.

Its interesting that the last two Taiwanese dramas I watched were like this, choosing balancing/opposite personalities instead of sparking ones where they constantly argue. Maybe it is a Taiwanese drama thing but haven't seen enough to know.

Fiery might have been more fun to watch (plus that is more like my personality) but since I have seen so many of those this wasn't so bad for a change of pace.

I'm watching for Bo-young too but I already know that when it gets draggy (I am pretty sure it will) I'll start forwarding scenes with bad guys talking or overly long court sessions.

Ive seen her in Its Okay Thats love and Doctors. She is pretty and Ive liked her acting so I was worried if she would ever be the main lead, but I'm glad she did. Nice article, I'll have to check out the rest of her projects soon.
