I had a feeling they were going to sacrifice him. I anticipated another huge death in the last episodes and for some reason had a hunch it would be Han Pu. Pretty sad about that one, but I like how their story/relationship came full circle on saving each others lives.

Can't tell if some people are just being haters... but to each their own!

Right? I didn't mind the ending but some seem to really hate it lol. Honestly it was the ending I was expecting.

Does anyone know when eng subs will be out? Or have many of you been able to watch without it? I'd say I can understand ~75% of Mandarin in historical dramas (modern ones are way easier lol).

A 9/10 for me.

Lol at everyone bitter about the ending. I honestly liked it and am happy for them. In the end they got to spend time with each other in a peaceful world which is what they truly wanted. XiYun never wanted to be the Empress.. let alone be involved with politics. LanXi found a new meaning in life and for once in his life got to experience love from someone.

First drama this year that I have really enjoyed watching and will miss this one.. definitely coming back to write a proper review. See y'all on the Heroes page next!😂

I agree.. I think he kind of had an idea and once LangHua started telling the story of her dad and the Token Keepers, he that "thinking look" on his phase like he was having a realization haha.

I'm really conflicted. I was really loving this drama and while I don't hate it now and am still enjoying it, I felt like it had so much more potential. I get that "drama" creates a better story but they filled the show with the annoying characters. Would've loved to see more of Qingzhou especially since they've mentioned that state for their strengths. I think it would have been nice to see the different contrast between LanXi and XiYun's states/backgrounds.

Also these characters are all supposedly so smart but somehow still can't figure out each other's real identities lol.

Seriously... I was looking forward to big reveal this whole time only to have them downplay it. Really disappointed as I feel her character deserved more.

I feel like they did a great job of developing and wrapping his character up. You hated him throughout the whole show but ended up having some pity for him.

OK I was just thinking this. Totally ship them and they both deserve someone to love haha.

Qinzhou is the best TBH lol.

I saw that too.. really wonder how he pulled that one off. I'm hoping FengJu and his mom are gone after that incident though.

Agreed, the plot/writing in the last few episodes seems a bit lackluster. It doesn't make sense that these people who are supposedly so intelligent are falling into each others schemes and being oblivious to things. I really hope the last few episodes wrap up well and the story begins to redeem itself. Still enjoying this, but I'm finding myself going "wtf" as I'm watching haha.

Curious to know what happens in his own state. Based on the previews it seems he gives up things to be with her, but with me hoping his family gets killed (lol) I wonder who rules.

So everyone seems to know who she is except LanXi… I’m still not convinced he has no idea, but how do we think it’s finally revealed?!

I feel like there is still so much to cover!! Really hope the last 10 doesn’t feel rushed. I watched all the latest previous released.. gets intense up to 36.
