Cheng Ling ya little shit xdSee spoiler reply for a decently sized rant of the latest episode.
You have every right to not trust WKX (even though he's been so hella nice and protective of you, but he also did exterminate your family so... makes sense), but not trusting A-Xu?? Cmon, he's your goddamn master. Both of them have repeatedly said that that the 5 great sects had a bunch of liars yet you still trust them over your own family. Also YBY is said to have lived at least a hundred years yet he still can't see the fucking truth of our main villain? Like come on old man, the guy is even more obvious than WKX that he has not so good intentions. 31 was a good episode, but 32 made absolutely zero sense, when it came to character motivations or general plot. At least our mains got to stare into each other's eyes for an eternity.
Please elaborate, because your comment made me laugh.
Some weird concoction of a show thats trying to be every romcom but also different than every romcom. There's something about it that makes you cringe, but I'm not sure what. I only saw two episodes though, and I'm very picky when it comes to watching fluff and comedy. Whatever it is, the ending of the first episode drove me to laugh inexplicably, but I don't think i'll be revisiting it ever again.
At this point I'm sadly used to chinese censorships censoring BL relationships, but I'm worried that they'll censor the other 70% of the novel that's basically all plot and personality characteristics.
I saw some spoilers like.... fight between yi Bai yi and WKX and when WKX yellled at him he again trying to fight…
If you're talking about the episode 27 spoiler, then the basic rundown is that YBY found out that WKX is the ghost valley leader, and he's mad that he got "tricked" by 2 youngsters. WKX bleeding, says something along the lines of "If you want to kill me go ahead, but I'll make sure to haunt these humans for the rest of time". YBY then says "Impudent, then I'll fulfill your wish", ZZS block YBY's sword and says something like "youre not worthy to kill him".
Wait I'm a bit lost. What is our male lead exacty? Is he just an ordinary human that leeches energy off our female lead? They said something, something if he were ordinary he couldn't have revived the FL, but did I miss when they specified what he was exactly?
And they managed to ruin the best character with a single episode. Still a good series, but their relationship for sure hits differently now. I was pro novel change, until todays episodes hit. Oh well, who knows, maybe this is how they got away with what they did in the first place, so I won't criticize too much. Once again, still a good watch and I'm personally not gonna drop it, but it is a bit dissapointing to say the least.
Edit: I probably misphrased a bit. They didn't ruin the character (he is still best character), but it changes how I personally would view the dynamic for them. I was suspecting this is the route they would take, but really wished it wasn't because the novel route was absolutely perfect imo. The idea that two total strangers could meet, both so similiar yet so different could connect just feels a lot more... mystical, you could say, than what the drama delivered. It's in no way bad, and honestly this is probably how they got away with censorship in the first place, I'm just not the biggest fan of this particular choice, that's all. Still love the show.
I'm still not sure where the story is headed, and just slightly confused but It's for sure very interesting. If we're going down the Hannibal route of watching a nice guy becoming mad then I'm all for it.
The family dynamic of the main 5 is adorable I love it. Despite the obvious budgetary constraints they still managed to make such a magical and genuine feeling drama, that manages to incorporate new ideas and storylines without deleting the original essence of the novels.
I hope it gives a better ending than the books though.
I think zhang qiling is above 1oo yrs old or more .. but i really want to know the real zhang qiling story from…
Zhang family spans many years before Foye and Qilin. I haven't finished all the novels, so I'm not sure if they mention it and take everything I say with a grain of salt, but I don't think even Foye knew Qilin existed since Qilin probably dopped off the face of the earth before then with even more memory loss and amnesia or something along the lines. The series is filled with plotholes, people just kinda go with it since they love the characters so much.

Also the way he tilts his head for her like goddamn breaking your neck so your girlfriend can get a good picture thats dedication.

The kids have also officially stolen the show.
