The CGi for the tournament opening ceremony was actually really cool. Reminds of that time in League of Legend's Worlds when the CG dragon was a thing for the opening ceremony.
Also having him wear a cap and mask and people don’t recognise him? Hmmmm.....Too many things like that team…
And the plot of TKA just starting to slot back in to the original story line... huh. It seems the plot is gonna be followed but the order of events and how they execute said events will be different.
And to each their own, as you said. I don't find live action adaptations that don't follow the original story line a disrespect to the original authors. You get to see your favourite characters and personalities in a new environment. To be able to follow them in that new journey completely blind should leave the audience in wonders if executed properly and if the audience is willing to open their minds to this "change".
Regarding the CG, the way the game avatars move and fight would be difficult to produce using real actors - too…
I'm starting to get used to the CG, but it still hurts me abit to watch because no matter how good the action and stuff is, the dullness of the environment and characters are hard to watch, especially when they switch from the dull online world into the brighter, real world.
First impressions! Honestly, I really like it so far except for some major things that bother me personally, a lot. 1. The voice dubbing. It was very unnecessary, but it could have been due to time preservation for Yang Yang since he is a rather busy actor. 2. The Chinese CGI. Once again, it could have been time preservation for Yang Yang, but like, did they have to use CGI for the in-game avatars? I know it makes more sense but China can create and produce such beautiful and cool costumes and props, why couldn't they just do that instead of CGI? The dull colours of the CGI also bother me a lot. 3. This is just me as an anime watcher, but I just find the pacing slow because I wanna pass what I already know and get into the new parts of the story xd
What I liked: The script is honestly really good (at least in mandarin. I don't know if i trust the subbers to translate the lines as accurate and well written as the original, but we'll see). The acting for the secondary's are really good, but Yang Yang is excellent in this drama. The sets are really nice to looks at and analyze. I personally wish i was in one of those environments. And of course, the story. they didn't diverge from the original material too much which is great. (Also thank the hair stylist for getting our actors looking as close to our characters as possible) Also brick guy still my favourite after the male lead.
The lost tomb 2 just completely reset itself from the first one.
At this point it's simply getting confusing. And the Lost Tomb 3 was in production, not sure if it still is though. I mean Zhu Yi Long even posted about it on his Weibo a while ago.

I agree with the scrip writing and story telling. I just really wished they kept the original cast with the lost tomb 2. And talking about this, if the lost tomb 3 cast a different cast, wouldn't it just be a retelling of the two previous Lost Tombs but with a different cast and story telling method? I'm slightly worried about that, because I don't think we need 3 remakes of the same story in less than 5 years.

With the new cast, yea. But it would have been great if they continued the previous story too, and not just retell what we already know in a different way.
First Impressions: I'm not the biggest fan of romance and will only watch it done in certain ways.... this fills the agenda. xD It's a very, very fast paced love story that gets straight into the point with the physical romance (touching, kissing, ect). It teases the female lead a lot though, which in turn teases the viewers on wanting to scream at the top of their lungs.
First impressions: Yea, it's good. Very enjoyable and fun to watch. It's a funny go lucky drama with some action to it, which is a good combo for when you're feeling sad or bored.
:(

The Story is starting to Diverge away completely from it's source material, which I honestly don't mind.

I mean if you like the whole dominance thing this is right up your alley, but otherwise pick something else probably.
