the death beetle king being raised with LCZ & ZSR's blood, it only obeying them has me thinking they'd use it for a future plot where they might get a misery pill or a remaining insect into XQS and then have the control not working being the reveal to his bloodline or smthing...but that would be kinda predictable and now the beetle king has been killed so idk what good they needed that little exposition for. also just saying this bcs i lowkey...okay, HIGHKEY wish XQS was LCZ's secret son/younger brother or something because narratively it makes his already existing parallels with Liu Suifeng even better (both of them basically masquerading as someone else at the beginning of the show, both of them getting denounced and making mistakes, both of them on their revenge path uncovering the culprit, their polarizing views- etc etc). LSF being adopted by the power gang when he could've ended up with the tang sect and originated from that healer valley, XQS being hypothetically adopted by the huanhua sect when he's actually from LCZ's blood....just two people raised under different circumstances that in a parallel universe could've swapped fate y'know. like...it just makes SENSE and would be so neat. also, that makes them not just hypothetical brother-in-laws (bcs of tang fang being teased love interest) and enemies but quite literally brothers by proxy of LCZ in that situation!! does this even make sense anymore i need sleep i think
