I don't think her randomly slapping him was a sudden personal character change. Her freedom to live the way that she wanted ,was taken away from her. I think if you keep going, you'll get to hear the why from the FL and ML perspective. The ML asserted political power to obtain her rather than just organically courting her or truly getting to know her and her wants in life.

I binged this drama in like 4 days and cried like a big ol baby during the final episodes. Great storytelling. What I most appreciated is the relationships that Xu Lan Xiang built through the duration of her life. How her pain became purpose to help others even if the person who treated her badly did not deserve it. The constant reminder to "live well" was a re-occurring moment that always brought me to tears when they parted with Xu Lan Xiang. I will be thinking of this drama for a long time. I came into the story thinking it was about romance but I came away with an entirely different perspective on life and what it means to have freedom to do what it is that you want for your life.

I agree. I’ve never seen the original before but it did feel like he was experiencing something genuine even though it was based on a lie.

Not shocked at the ratings but I enjoyed this series. I felt the ending was appropriate.

Anybody else came from this drama feeling some ways about Kyungsoo's character? He did so good here that I'll need a month and a half to start watching EXO stuff again lol. This drama was really good! It had everything I need to keep watching.

Just finished this drama and I though Ji Sung once again, did very role in this role. The ending to me makes sense though I have questions.

I just really hate how the FL lied. The ML is genuinely falling in love and she’s wrapped up in struggle while I do feel for her, I’m just not sure I can take 10 more episodes of more lies. I hope she tells the truth in the next two episodes.

Same here. I actually was bothered by the last 8 episodes with how they dragged a cooking competition into 4 episodes and left some unresolved story lines.

I’m watching episode 4 and the one who plays Bong I is aggravating me.

One of my favorite parts of the season was the Russian Roulette scene. Overall the season didn't really get to a place of interest until the later episodes.

I'm not sure that I am satisfied with the ending but I truly enjoyed the acting . Overall this drama is worth the watch.

Yes. He really came through in the later half of the drama. At first I thought he was just an ignorant older brother but I love how he was able to change after the big downfall. At some point I was rooting for the mother but she was just a lost cause.

It took a lot to make it to episode 50 but I feel accomplished. I feel the writers did all characters in this drama just dirty. What started off promising, ended up a hot bed of mess.

Park Dora's life is indeed tragic.
