Fun to watch, entertaining. I read the review (the only one) posted above, find it very personal and damaging.

Since the female lead is from another world, I can't help but to think she'd wake up and then see the male lead playing some other role in the modern world, like many dramas based on similar storytellings, I never like this kind of timeline dramas.

I haven't started watching this drama yet, am still finding it hard to say goodbye to the legend of female general since I especially like the main leads and their fight scenes. But when I saw a couple of fight scenes by Song Yi in this drama, she just looks slow, awkward. I'll watch this drama after I manage to put the legend of female general behind.

love court fights, lawyers standing up for the defenseless, the male lead delivers excellent performanc!. Only two episodes a week just don't work for me.

Arthur Chan is brilliant in his acting, in delivering lines with feelings and convictions one can ever expect from whatever roles he covers. He is so good that he often outshines the female leads and this drama is no exception.

I personally prefer the screenplay, the rebirth in the novel is not my cup of tea. The drama managed to keep many well written dialogues in the book, it also has a well chosen cast and the fight scenes are great to watch. The one issue I have with the screenplay is the character/behaviour of the emperor, it is so inconsistent, one minute he is wise and compassionate, then he flips into a manipulative,cruel emperor who wanted to cuase hatred among the main leads, but then bestowed marriage between the two as if his conviction of dividing them never happened.

Indeed, the change of attitude of the emperor offsets his seriousness. He at times appears to be kind and understanding but cunning and manipulative in other moments. He is inconsistent, the script and the director should have done better.

I love this kind of dramas, laws beating the unlawfuls, clever lawyers and romance in between. But the case presented in episode 5, I mean how it ended is a bit disappointing, hope to see more interesting cases in the coming episodes .

I am subscribed to Wetv, but it is not available for regional restrictions reasons and this happens quite a lot. Very annoying.

I am finding it hard to walk away from the drama since it ended. Though I think the editing and or director left some questions unanswered, for example what happend to the ledger that details the corruption of the minister? It was given to the son of the dead governor in the prison but nothing came out of it. Then why and how the emperor and the male lead foresaw the riot planned by the minister and the fake general in the palace? These are no small things. I doubt they were left behind by mistake, so is it the editor who dropped the ball?
All in all a very pleasant drama with a well chosen cast, the main leads do click in this drama, I hope they will make another project, especially a costume drama with an intriguing plot.

He literally thinks his feelings for her is enough for both, he is selfish and he uses people for his own gains, he loves himself.

Fantastic dialogues in the palace, how the leads stand their ground in front of the king are worth watching, listening to over and over again! Btw, listening in original language, how they word the dialogues is a great treat!

in his dreams, though he will do everything to keep her by his side including stopping her marrying the male lead. His idea of love is pure selfishness.

I think he told the emperor that she is a woman but I don't think he has told the emperor yet of his findings about the battle in which his father lost his life.
