How I wish they'd release all remaining episodes in one go, this drama is nearing its peak, the battles, revealing of the phony general in front of the king and and the whole world of all his evil deeds, , the minister master mind who schemes everything and everyone, the coming together of the leads.. the recognition of their bravery.. there is so much to see and so long to wait for the bits and pieces..

There is no reason for Dudu to blame the death of his father on the female general since the deputy general of his father already told him that he deliberately delayed the dispatch for help to her. The screenplay did a poor job here.

I am enjoying it. The screenplay has a few flaws, but hey all dramas do. I like the the fighting scenes in this drama, the main leads pairing, and the overall storytelling. I am also reading the novel now, am treating them as separate stories as there are differences, and both are entertaining.

while waiting for new episodes, I started readinf the novel online, am on chapter 10 now as I write. I am treating the novel and the drama as separate stories, since they differ quite a lot from each other at least up to now, and I totally find both versions entertaining, well presented and captivating. Perhaps some of you would like to have a go.

I am concentrating on the story which I find well written, the cast are well directed, but I just can't settle for the FL, she is just off to me, her actings, her looks and expressions fall short.

The fight scenes are well done, the screenplay and directing fail to deliver what could have been a great drama that started strong but weakened as it moves on.

the story has great potential, due to perhaps poor investment on the production, directing and screenplay, the drama turns out to be a light hearted costume drama, superficial in plots, sequencing and dialogues. However the fight scenes are well made. All in all a pleasant pass time series in the hot summer days.

it is worth watching and researching. The male lead is excellent is a great performer especially in period dramas, the female lead is up to the challenge too. The story is well written, the main leads and the remaining cast came together to deliver a great drama to watch.

I love the main cast, but I find the FL here is mis-directed or the screenplay did a bad job, I don't know, but she appears to be a mischievous girl in most parts which I think is unfitting, after all, she was a general in the battlefield and has escaped a treacherous death and family betrayal, these experiences can't deliver a mischievous girl soldier flirty with the commander in chief. The story has such potential but the screenplay is making it into a comedy in many ways.

Yes, the male lead delivers as he should, the FL is, as you say, " unserious", she is just off, behaving like a teenager girl who has not experienced life and death, but she was a general and has faced treacherous death, why would she be so playful now in the army, even the way she speaks is so childish like. she does lack intensity., I have seen her in this mode in some other dramas, perhaps she didn't do the necessary homework to bring out her character in this drama and the director apparently didn't help.

not to me, sorry to say. Hope it will pick up and meet expectations. The start is great with a strong storyline, but the drama has taken a turn to a light, comic tone that quite drives me off. After The prisoner of beauty, the coroner's diary, this one just fades away, foe now.

Just finished watching ep 6, I expected a more serious tone, but it turns out to be quite a comedy, no soldier, disguised or not, should behave as the female lead does with the commander and no commander, whether he knows the soldier is a girl in disguise, drunk or not, would let her go unpunished. It gets to my nerves a bit seeing the FL behaving like a spoiled teenage girl in the army with the commander. I think the story, the directing should have taken up a more serious tone, the storyline is well constructed in the beginning, but the directing, the tone of the script, are off beat.

I am subscribed to both,Iqiyi runs with a more quality sw, but it doesn't necessarily stands for more popular dramas. I find myself streaming more on wetv, rewatching old stuff. As for new dramas, Wetv always asks for payment of express access, VIP subscription does not cover it. This is something that Iqiyi doesn't do.o Oh one more thing, Wetv has the express bought episodes streamable only on smart phones etc, not on TV.

indeed, every single role has certainly delivered, they all came together to produce an excellent product. A cast well chosen and directed by a top notch director.
