The postcard was not signed, but it was the voice of Zan saying what he wrote on the card: he said that he was away on a mission herefore failed to congratulate him for ranking first in school, but hope he will visit the beautiful place on the postcard that he specially chose for him. PTSD is terrible especially in his case when he has gone thru so much. I am glad the ending shows a postcard from him to the young Wang months after the elope, to me it means he is living as best as he can with his love by his side. I dreaded the drama would end as in the book and I am glad it didn't.
May be I expected a faster pacing and richer storyline, or still have dramas like "the double" and "perfect match" in the back of my mind feeling still the vibes they gave me, I am putting this drama on hold till all episodes are aired.

I am not interested in a modern version and I definitely don't want to see the second generation. As for the story, I am sure good screenwriters can deliver interesting plots if asked. May be a power seige in the palace, riots, crimes or alike. Plenty of storylines to think about, just saying.

Liang QI Shun (husband of the 4th sister) did great here, I looked into his work until now and think he can take up lead roles especially in costume dramas, he is so ready.
A great refreshing drama, narrated and depicted with great pace and depth. it covers the story of the five daughters and their respective husbands, each given a fair share of view time, wits against plots, love defeating prejudice and not lacking in actions. I fervently hope the Chinese show business will take a decisive turn to dive into more stories like this rather than the same old same old narratives of masters and disciples, good fairies and evil lords, fights over heavenly treasures between the good guys and bad guys, mortals and immortals as these types of screenplays have been over flooding the entertainment industry and our screens for years, and I for one have stopped watching them for some time now. A note of appreciation to the cast of The perfect match, their performance came on top. The director, producer couldn't have made a batter choice, they took chances also on less fan based actors and actresses, each of them came out just great, delivering splendid performance, their actings are so on point, and they look great in front of the camera too. I do hope they will be given more opportunities, they have truly earned their spots in this industry.
I think this drama, along with The double aired last year are the two most captivating series I have watched in a while. I strongly recommend those who haven't watched it yet to get it a try, you will be wildly entertained.
