I think it was 3 years and that I heard it in one of those video clips made by some youtubers. Perhaps someone who has read the book could shed some light on it, though the book must be a lot different from the drama.

If you haven't seen "sword snow stride" produced in 2021, then do have a go, the same male lead, he is that clever, too :) . This drama also needs a second season, I've read that it will be made, but don't know when.

I have always loved to watch dramas in which the main leads, or one of the two, is smart, outwitting devils. The ML here is all that and his match is the king who is so deep in manipulations and so ruthless. He traps people, taking lives like drinking a cup of tea. I want to see him shedding tears, repenting and paying for his sins.

Wow, I didn't move from my couch for the longest time, what a thriller, great story, excellent performance and wonderful production. I do hope Disney+ will give us a season 2, this season has left the door wild open.

The story plot is not too weak but for it to capture viewership, it should have been written much better and more interesting. Failing to do so. The drama delivered is mediocre, production, performance of the cast included. It is one of the many dramas that do not deserve any particular attention or praise.
