What proof do you have to say that he is backed by a powerful team with Yin Yang connections? So far, there's only been slanders made up by certain netizens claiming that the yin yang team is related to him or his company directly. He debuted for 7 years and his resources were actually very poor at first. If he is that powerful, why didn't he use his connections before? He never had any problems with his previous dramas. You calling him ZKY when he actually started with guest roles and minor supporting roles in low budget dramas till he earns the chance to act as ML in small web dramas, then playing supporting characters in bigger productions like Dashing Youth and The Legend of Shen Li where he got recognized. He earned his opportunities by going through countless auditions himself and he's been steadily improving his acting skills over the years. Calling him rude just from some videos while he's been kind and respectful to staff, fans and costars many other times... you clearly very biased. Also, certain fans' actions don't represent the whole fandom, nor the actor himself. He Yu was never rude to Esther himself. The person that showed a middle finger apologized to Esther and her fans on Weibo on the same day, and even got scolded by He Yu's other more rational fans. But hating on the actor, cursing him and generalizing a whole fandom based on individual fans' actions are just as bad as those irrational fans. When you curse someone, you should pray it doesn't backfire on your own fav.
you clearly don't know anything about his real personality and judge him based on some videos that are often taken out of context. I've seen him being kind and respectful to staff, fans, costars and even strangers many times. Those who have met him in person in real life always said he is very friendly, approachable and a very respectful person. Also, his fans don't randomly attack others unless they were provoked first. Ever since he started filming SAL, he faced massive online hate, harassment and cyberbullying for months, which haven't stopped till this day. Ppl literally cursed him to die in a bike crash and make up negative rumors and slanders about his agent who is actually a woman named Liu Ting Ting since his debut, instead of a man with notorious reputation. If you don't know the whole story, or don't care to know, don't judge so randomly. Dude debuted for 7 years and never had any issues with his previous female leads or costars.
He Yu really suits martial arts dramas and characters, his fighting sequences are great. His crying scenes are well executed as well. Hope he gets to act more in Wuxia. Really suitable, looking forward to his future works.
This boy needs to be in more Wuxia dramas as main lead seriously. His looks, aura and even fighting ability are so suitable to play roles that require a lot of fighting sequences. Pls don't waste of his talents and skills. I can always picture him playing a young general or warlord. Hope to see him play a soldier or a police officer in the future too. His face is suitable to both modern and period drama looks. Whenever I look at him, I see so much possibilities and potential. He just fits so many different characters and genres. His acting ability has improved a lot since debut. Look forward to his next drama already.
Can't wait for He Yu's portrayal of Jin Zhao. He's exactly like how I imagined Jin Zhao to be when reading the novel. Cool, mysterious, has that bad-boy/ rebellious charm, but can also have a soft, delicate and even vulnerable side. He also has a scar under his eye. Even his height and built are similar to the description of the ML. And most importantly, he knows all the skills that Jin Zhao knows, whether it's boxing, riding motorcycles, drifting or car racing. I've never seen someone so suitable to a role like this before. Some people may look down on him cause he's not as well known, but oh well... I'm excited for him!
Nah, some folks were unhappy because he did actually work "more than he should, he might overshine their idol"…
I don't think you understood the whole situation, so please stop spreading your message cause it might cause more misunderstanding. He Yu fans weren't angry because of an added scene for Jeremy that disturb the ML and FL. They were angry because Jeremy's fans attacked He Yu first with some pretty nasty words on Weibo. But now both fandoms have stopped. He Yu doesn't have a big fandom so they don't normally attack people unless directly provoked. Not everyone who complained about the added scenes are He Yu fans btw, some are just novel fans or fans of this drama. Anyways, those who complained are worried about how the added scenes are going to affect the characters' set up and the plot. Because in the novel, the ML Xiao Hua Yong can be very cruel to everyone except for the FL so whoever offends him might meet a bad ending. Jeremy's character is a very career-oriented and level headed person, and he knows not to mess with the Crown prince. Despite his brother (Lai Wei Ming's character) is in love with the FL, he would dissuade him from crossing path with the ML. The FL has a very cold and anti-romantic personality, so she doesn't get jealous easily. Therefore, it doesn't make sense to see in the Reuters for Jeremy's character to blatantly take the bowl from the ML and feeds him personally without the ML fighting back. I hope this clarifies the situation.

Some fans were worried about the changes to the script because they alter the characters' set up and might affect the plot, so they complained to the crew. It was never about attacking or targeting Jeremy to begin with, but some of Jeremy's fans attacked He Yu with some pretty nasty words and name calling him on Weibo, so things got a bit personally from then. He Yu doesn't have a big fandom, so his fans normally don't attack people unless directly provoked. But now, both sides seem to have stopped from what I can see.
In the novel, Jeremy's character is very career oriented and level-headed, he knows that the ML is not someone to mess, so he would not offend him. Even though his brother (Lai Wei Ming's character) is in love with the FL, he would dissuade him from engaging with the ML. So, it doesn't really make sense, in the Reuters, to see him taking the bowl from the Crown prince' hands and feed him personally in front of the FL. The FL's set up is a very cold and anti-romantic personality, so she wouldn't get jealous anyways. The changes aren't just about added a scene or two more to one character, but it might affect the other characters and the relationship between them. And that's what fans are worried about. It's not that they are afraid Jeremy will steal the spotlight. I hope this clarifies the situation.
