He’s been pretty lowkey and underrated. his company doesn’t really promote him properly either, he only started to get attention in 2024. For modern drama, he did great in Let’s Meet Now and So Funny Youth. For period dramas, I liked his role as Ye Ding Zhi in Dashing Youth but he’s SML with limited screen time. He achieved wider recognition in 2024 with this role and the supporting role in The Legend of Shenli. He also did great in Wuxia-Xianxia drama Sword and Fairy 2024. Stay tuned for his upcoming dramas Blossoms of Power and Reborn of the Rightful. I have a feeling they will be good. He’s been improving his acting skills.

Those are paid marketing accounts saying shit. He Yu plays with so many people at that basketball court. Another regular player there came out and say that all they do is play games there. They don’t talk about work or personal life, even less about other celebrities whether men or women. Work life is already tiring enough. Both He Yu and WHD are great people. Boys get together and play all the time even without being friends. There is no actual proof of either actor insulted her, but hope this second collab doesn’t happen. Cause he will only face more hate and black drafts.

There’s legit no actual proof of He Yu said anything bad about her or that dude being his friend. Just her fans making assumptions. Some marketing accounts on Weibo were fueling fan wars. All they did was playingbasketball games together. He Yu had no previous interactions with him. That dude never posted He Yu before either, only WHD. But somehow he Yu is being blamed for sth that random netizens did. Whoever paid for this shit to trend is up to no good.
It's crazy the amount of dramas he's been in, and how many more upcoming works he has as main lead. But almost never heard of him until realizing several popular actresses have dramas with him.
Watched the first 7 episodes after randomly seeing clips of this drama. Want to praise Zeng Shun Xi and Chen Du Ling. They act well and have a lot of chemistry. Really liked their interactions and vibe on camera. They made me interested in their characters. Wish they have more screentime in upcoming episodes.
However, the overall plot and camera work have a lot of flaws. Feel like GJM is filming a MV sometimes. Certain scenes are obviously designed for fandom service. Don't really understand why he likes making the characters speak at turtle speed with a low voice tone, it gets a bit distracting after a couple of episodes. Also, some casts' acting and line delivery are visibly weaker, which takes me out of the story. Will see how the rest of episodes go.
