really wish He Yu can work with director Mao de Shu again in another modern drama, hopefully it's a military soldier role (like he always wanted). Will support all his works and characters, but whatever his next project is I just hope it's a good script and with a more professional production team. 2026's wish pls come true!
Really liked him since Under the Skin and watched a couple of his other dramas. I'm not familiar with his personality yet, but he seems kind and quite multi-talented. Hope my actor has a chance to collaborate with him someday, either in a drama or a variety show.
I'm interested in this cause of the director, but not too familiar with the actors. How's the acting and the plot for those who watched? Is it worth starting the series?
This Jelly Bread person is just a troll, purposely trying to create fan war between fandoms. She's doing the same under other dramas page. Do not respond to her anymore. She'll only get more excited. I reported all her hate comments. Please do the same instead of replying to her. Insulting other actress might lead to trouble with her fandom. Please be careful. Thank you!
You are literally in every page . Hating on different actor bring you happiness right? You stupid as*hole.

ATTENTION: He Yu and his real fans respect all his FL coworkers, this includes Bao Shang En. There's a hater in the comment section goes by the account name @Jelly Bread, who is purposely trying to create fan wars. She is doing this under other dramas' page as well. Please do not engage with this person and directly report her comments. Thank you!
I was seeing the first episode and I laughed so hard at a scene where he goes to an underground boxing match fighting…
I see why you would say that... but the setting in this drama is illegal fights, ppl who join these only care about money, more than their own lives and health. They choose to fight despite being fully aware of the risks and don't care about the rules. This fits the description of the ML: fearless, bold, desperate for money, and willing to live a life on edge if it means he can get the money. I guess this is what that scene is trying to show, which is to reflect his current mindset/ lifestyle.
The ML is supposed to be an experienced fighter with top techniques who doesn't just rely on muscles. In the novel, he is described as fit and strong but not bulky in terms of physical built. The reason I don't think it's completely ridiculous is because the actor in real life is also very strong physically despite looking lean, he does heavy weight training regularly, has at least 10 years of boxing experience with very solid techniques and agility. He also received extra training to adapt his fighting style just for this role. During that scene, it wasn't established whether his opponent has the same skill sets btw, but it's easy to assume that he's stronger just because he has more muscles. But I've seen people with smaller built winning a physical fight against a much bigger opponent in real life, so it's not impossible. But honestly, boxing/ fight scenes are only a side plot, just meant to add more excitement for pure entertainment purpose.
As much as I want to see it in June, I'm kinda worried if that's the right time to broadcast it cause in China,…
I doubt it will be in March. That's too early. They wrapped up not too long ago. Period dramas tend to take more time for post production and pass censorship. I expect it will be later this year. Just don't know if it's June, July or August... might even be September. Who knows?
They just posted on weibo that the drama is tentatively scheduled for June.
As much as I want to see it in June, I'm kinda worried if that's the right time to broadcast it cause in China, there will be Gaokao entrance exam and it coincides with World Cup. Probably not many people will watch TV shows at this time... Idk, probably it's best to air it after these 2 events. But who knows... if it airs, I'll support and promote it regardless.
The female lead is so ugly why they paired that with He Yu? The Queen of C-drama Esther Yu deserve to this drama…
Bao Shang En is pretty and no one cares what you think lol 😂 He Yu and his fans don't have any issues with his coworker, so who are you to complain? Stop trying to start unnecessary fan fights... I see you trying to create fan wars under Speed and Love page as well using other actors/ actresses. How about you get off the internet and stop being a miserable keyboard warrior?
Eh I see where you’re coming from. But I think if Mumu found her own happiness, she prob wouldn’t return to…
The drama screwed up the ML's story with the script writing in this part. In the novel, he lost his leg because of the accident and he needed a prosthetic leg. He never recovered at all and the FL's father disapproved of their relationship. These are the main reasons why he kept pushing her away, but the drama didn't show any of these scenes. It literally diminished the trauma he went through. Also, Jin Zhao's insecurities stem from his lack of love from the FL's mother growing up as a child. She took out her anger and frustration towards her husband on him. He never had a good model to follow after or someone to teach him how to behave with someone who loves him cause he never had anyone who genuinely loved him. His entire life was him trying to make himself useful to the people around him so that he's not a burden. So, when the accident happens, he thinks of his injuries/ disability as a burden and he's not good enough for her. But in his heart, he still cares and loves her so he fulfilled her dream without expecting anything in return. He never purposely led her on because he knows he's bound by responsibilities and promises unlike the FL who can basically do what she wants without suffering any consequences. But later, in the series, he realized the true meaning of love, which is to face it bravely. That's why even when FL's mother gave him a hard time, he never gave up anymore to ask permission for marriage. This is his character development.
Also, him getting into her personal space is because he's trying to scare her away, especially at the beginning because he is more mindful of the fact that even they are not blood related, they still grew up together as children. But this push-and-pull behavior is quite mutual cause the FL also gets into his personal space a lot and say suggestive things to him.
girl... idk about Yang Mi, but Xiao Zhan's fans are not to be messed with. Both of them are considered veterans/…
He Yu fans said wut?! lol... his fandom might be small, but they ain't dumb. And to be frankly speaking, he doesn't have enough fans who would go on Facebook to do that. Besides, he never had any interactions with Xiao Zhan, his fans don't have any reasons to say sth like that lol. Who cares how many direct messages you received.
Xiao Zhan and Yang Mi already a strong rumor about King and Queen of Weibo Night. They didn't deserve that 😅
girl... idk about Yang Mi, but Xiao Zhan's fans are not to be messed with. Both of them are considered veterans/ top traffic stars in the industry with very loyal fans. His fans alone can destroy you. This kind of comments will get both Esther and He Yu massive hate. If a fan war happens, He Yu's fandom is not established enough to protect him at all... even now, people can still casually bully him. His fandom has been through a lot. Seriously, don't do this...
There's an Esther Yu fan with almost 9k followers on X that hates SAL. How do you hate a show that your idol put…
That's the same person who spread false rumors about He Yu for months, saying he was rude to staff on set based on a soundless video that was taken from very far away and out of context. Then spread around that he got the role because he's backed up by capital, accusing him and his company of manipulating SAL script and changing the crew to favor the ML... She even claims that his company bought the script when it actually belongs to IQIYI lol. The amount of ridiculous slanders and defamation I saw from that account wow... it's just so toxic. None of her claims are real... If He Yu/ his team truly has such a strong capital backing and has the power to manipulate a whole crew and change the scripts to favor himself he would have done that ages ago and become famous even before this collaboration... why the hell would he wait 7 years after debut lol? For her to be making such groundless accusations made me question if she even understands how C industry and entertainment companies operate...
Anyone who follows He Yu will realize that his company is always late on posting his contents and not doing a good job at promoting/ protecting him. Even during SAL, he's the one who did most of the promotional works. His company didn't do much.
Just because that person is a fan Esther Yu and wants to defend her, it doesn't give her the right to slander other actors like that. She then gets away with all these defamations and slanders... This kind of fans really sets their fav up for hate. She didn't even stop her behavior or apologize even after being called out by many... toxic fans like these are one of the reasons why EY is getting so much hate honestly. She loves to bring Weibo shit to international platforms and rage bait to get engagement.
I voted for He Yu's character, Jin Zhao.
