Oh you know what, even though that wouldn't make much sense, it almost looks like Sun and Sigma have a similar haircut now that he has hair black. I love his character but I can't help suspecting everyone in this show haha. So with no basis what if Sigma is an older Sun? But it's very unlikely imo
I think we'll just have to wait and see to find answers. And theorise in the meantime I guess
Maybe it'll turn that it's someone that they know in the present but who will end up as Sigma and thus, making Sigma an older version of one of the characters who travelled to the past? That's my guess at the moment.
My main question from episode 7: What does Seo Hae's mom know? She has not shown up at all until episode 7 and…
I was wondering the same. And I was thinking that maybe she's from the future??? And she came back to the past to live her life, met Seo Hae's dad, etc. But given she's from the future she might have crossed path with an older Seo Hae ? Not sure, really but her reaction indicated she knew who was calling or that she knows way more than she lets on
does anyone have an idea what r the ages of Han Tae Sul and Kang Seo Hae? i lost track of the timeline. I know…
I think we don't really know about Seo Hae except that she was born in 2012, though we can assume she must be in her late twenties/30 (around PSH's age I'd say). As for Tae Sul we actually know! In the first episode when he opens the suitcase, it is said that Tae San's passwords were always Tae Sul's birthday and the code on the suitcase was 820701 so that means Tae Sul was born on the 1st of July 1982 so that makes him 38/39 in the show.
Where did we first see the guy in the last scene of episode 7 with the umbrella? (not looking for theories he…
He's the one we see at the end of episode 6 sitting on a chair and having kidnapped Tae San. We see his face for the first right after Tae Sul's message "I will find you". The actor, Kim Byung Chul has appeared in many drama as a support role (sometimes main). His most well-known works include Mr Sunshine, SKY Castle and Pegasus Market amongst others (like Goblin). I'm really excited to see what he will bring out to Sisyphus!
I felt the explanation part was a tad long and was almost bored until the second half of the episode woke everything up and we have more mysteries to uncover. Tae San's letter was really emotional and the "You're so cool :D!!!!" was really cute. I like Sun a lot but I'm getting a bit paranoid and suspecting everyone, including him. However, despite that, I hope that the episode 8 preview is not indicative of a lasting love triangle. It would be an unnecessary plot in a drama with many plots and mysteries and stuff to focus on. Not to mention I feel it reduces Sun's actions and desire to help Seo Hae if he just basically helps her in the hope they date despite having seen each other... twice.
But overall still a good episode, I can't wait to watch episode 8 tomorrow!
Also the -CB seems to detect her with a device. -On thriller, I think her father got blew up. -PSH and CJW were…
If I may add to what displacedmoon said, at the end of episode 4, when Tae Sul and Seo Hae jumped in the river, she loses her journal which seemed so important to her. And we finally get a glimpse of it : it is a journal that seems written by a future Seo Hae. How our Seo Hae got it ? We don't know yet but the journal states that it is Seo Hae talking to our Seo Hae and it says that she has to go back and save Han Tae Sul. Furthermore, in ep1 her dad told her to stay away from Tae Sul at all cost ? Then why go after him ? Because of the journal, a journal which bears knowledge of what a future/past version of Seo Hae lived. There are little hints here and there (the lottery ticket numbers for example that she already knows or the conference she already knows about and knows that there is a shooter, how she says "If Tae Sul lives, the war may not happen" meaning that MAYBE she (or another version of her) lived a timeline where he dies and the world goes to hell.
Finally, I'd like to point you towards the name of the show. Why would a sci-fi/action-packed movie be linked with the myth of Sisyphus? The myth tells the story of Sisyphus who is condemned by the gods to push a big rock till the top of a mountain but his punition is that whenever he is near the top, the rock will inevitably fall down and he will have to go all the way down and begin again, condemned to a never-ending task. When you know this, it doesn't sound too far-fetched that there might be a similar storyline in the drama: Seo Hae has made this traval multiple times but she failed every time. And what we're seeing is only a new attempt. Either that or it's a time loop but this time the time loop may be changed ? Either way, I am leaning towards such a plot, I wouldn't be surprised if there is something along those lines.
It seems the ML in the future is the inventor of that thing that can make them transport through time called the…
And to follow up on your interesting reply, I also think PSH's character has done the same trip several times (hence why she knew the lottery numbers or she was able to finish the glasses guy's sentence when she and Han Tae Sul were detained). She has done it several but failed each time (much like sisyphus go and go with his rock but can never reach the top of the mountain and has to go back to the bottom and start again). I think there might be something like this coming our way.
First 2 episodes are out...Is this a good one because synopsis is unable to attract me. But MDL might have missed…
Some spoilers below. It depends what you like, really. The show deals with time travel and given the name (Sisyphus) I am guessing there isn't just one travel but probably multiple ones for the same reason over and over again (but this is just speculations at this point).
In the near future, the world as we know it as fallen in a post-apocalyptic environment. As time travel devices exist in this future, many people try to escape this world by "migrating" to the past. Park Shin Hye's character goes in the past but it seems she has an ulterior motive other than living a better life. She is a trained soldier and is really badass, she kicks ass, she knows what to do. On the other hand, we meet Cho Seung Woo's character, a sort of korean Tony Stark whose older brother is dead but that he sometimes hallucinates. He is smart and cool and intelligent, a bit arrogant and he's eaten by guilt over his brother's death because they fought just before he died. Everything changes, though, when, after a traumatic plane accident, he discovers a mysterious suitcase that belongs to his brother. Inside, his brother's photo camera with pictures of events that are yet to happen and a key to a safe that a mysterious man wants. On top of that, PSH's character and CSW's character are being followed and harmed by a mysterious and shady organisation named the "Control Bureau". Expect several "wtf?!" moments, confusions and action scenes (some of them have questionnable CGI but it's not too bad). There are many mysteries at the moment which, I guess, will be explained later. If you like sci-fi thriller and fast-paced action dramas that could be a fit for you. I'm biased but Cho Seung Woo's acting is really good so far and it's a great change from his previous roles that were more reserved and stoic.
A truly promising start. Many mysteries awaiting us and I can't wait to see what they'll do with it. Not much else to say that hasn't already been said (to keep this comment spoiler-free), it was a interesting and intriguing introduction to the drama. Jo Seung Woo is truly something else though, his acting is already delicious and I can't wait to see more!
But overall still a good episode, I can't wait to watch episode 8 tomorrow!
