It wasn't something in the series. I read in a comment that in the manga, it showed that Eiji had sex with Mieko after their 3some without Makki knowing. But until I read the manga myself, I can't say for sure that's what happened.

The ending was super rushed. This needed another 2-3 episodes to properly wrap up.

I'm am a little disappointed that the characters don't seem to have grown much in these years of separation, it feels like we're right back at the episode where PJ left. Lil' Jane is still suspicious and contrarian to PJ and PJ is still playing God by doing those deals. But I was with him on the bullies. They need to be taught a lesson and teachers that side with bullies should not be teaching. Lil' Janes is still so naive. But I still love them, I have a weakness for this couple. I guess I'm colorblind, lol.
