This will always be one of my favorite BLs, as I've rewatched all the released parts many, many times and the rewatch value still stands. Having experienced it so many times and still feeling the same about it shows how powerful it is.
Couldn't agree more! I was really looking forward to this drama, and I was going through the comments here to…
Yes, I didn't like it either how they kept calling each other cousins, it was so unnecessary.
One one hand I understand the writers are restricted creatively and they don't have a lot of ways of creating "forbidden love" / "dark romance" plots because of the censorship but I'm not happy they settled the pseudo-family loophole to create high-stake dramas.
Different cultures have different definitions of "family."Is cultural imperialism still a thing in the…
"Cultural imperialism", oh my, the baby learned big words today. Targeting this at someone born and raised in a country colonized by waves of conquerors in hundreds of years, it's so funny. Imagine seeing yourself as a know-it-all on Chinese culture because you watched a couple of C-dramas. "Incest" romance is not a Chinese cultural particularity, you can find this type of stories everywhere.

I said "incest type" meaning it's not in a literal sense. It's akin to incest. Similar, not identical.
I don't think I called anybody a "sicko" in this thread. If you feel like a sicko for watching this, that's your feelings to deal with. Just like teacher - student relationships shouldn't be encouraged because of the detrimental effects on the students, there's also a reason why most people don't get into romantic relationships with people from their familial circle, it's not exactly a dynamic encouraged in any culture for that matter and it's a little weird it's pushed so much in dramas this year. From my point of view.
I have watched the first 3 episodes of it to see exactly what kind if relationship they have and I've seen enough. They have enough of a siblings dynamic to make this an uncomfortable watch.
I watched 2 episodes and it said the parents never got married so legally they're not step siblings. They also…
Not being legally married doesn't change anything for me. The parents are still in a romantic relationship and they started when the kids were so young. The fact that they move him to a dorm makes things a little better but it's just because they wanted to sanitize the novel for fear of backlash, they did the same with not making the parents married here. I, personally, can't get over their familial status.
That’s a lot of words dedicated to a show you are not even going to watch in the first place. If a trope bothers…
I was planning on watching it because on Viki the synopsis was misleading. It said "childhood friends". So I was unpleasantly surprised when I started watching it and found out they were actually step siblings. So I won't continue with it. I guess they're going to be incentivized to continue making these Wattpad type of stories if there are so many people eager to eat these up.
Can they just stop with the siblings romance trope already? Even when not blood related. It's not something that should be normalized. This is the nth drama like this released in the past year. The only one not as weird was "Dazzling" where the moms were as close as sisters but the kids never grew up together. But here they are step siblings and grew up together as step siblings. No matter how great the actors are, I'm not gonna watch it.
That’s what I stated before. She doesn't think what the guy truly likes. I'm on episode 18 and she's like "You…
That's exactly how I saw it too. I don't mind age gaps, as long as they make sense together, and the way they meet and grow together is healthy. In this case there was a big power imbalance and they never grew out of the dynamic kid-guardian, she was making all the calls, she never apologized when she hurt him. Even when she was in the wrong, he ended up apologizing. The actors were excellent and it was an engaging watch, but I'm not comfortable with their relationship.
Nobody forced you to waste 40 hour for an "emasculated boy". Then you go on a tirade in the comments section…
The funniest part is that you keep talking about projection while projecting constantly. You accuse other commenters of being triggered, too emotionally invested in the ML, unable to handle opinions, and obsessed with your review, all because they disagreed with you about a fictional character. Kinara disagreed with your interpretation. You responded by inventing things about her preferences, emotions, and motives. The irony is that you're accusing everyone else of invalidating opinions while repeatedly trying to invalidate the people holding those opinions with personal attacks. Look at how disproportional and emotional your responses are. See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya!

Etiquette lessons from someone as that behaves like you, haha. I was not triggered in the slightest by your opinion. I was not a big fan of the ML. Feel free to see him as emasculated. I responded to your bully ways and how you responded to that other person responding to you. You were not obligated in the slightest to watch till the end. The fact that you forced yourself just because of positive reviews, that's on you. Delulu is not the solulu.
