You might not wrap your head around it but there are people out there that are like this. I was extremely sheltered and controlled by my parents. When I went to uni I was like a child, easily overwhelmed and clueless. Of course, life is life and I grew out of it. If I had met somebody like Taishin back then, we would have been best friends. People like that deserve love too.

Preach! The scripts carried him in My School President and Moonlight Chicken but he's not a better actor than the average person (according to my subjective oppinion) and it really showed in this series. I also think something's going on between these two, they must not be getting along, because every interacting they had in the series felt awkward and forced. Perhaps it's like you said, he's tired of playing characters in love with boys.
