If I read one more post about how this is not a BL...A censored BL is a...BL otherwise it wouldn't be censored, there would be no need for that, so writing a whole article on why this isn't one is just pointless.
You don't need to watch a censored BL if it's too painful for you. This series was filmed AFTER the ban was put in place, of course, we're not gonna see them having sex or admit they have a romantic relationship. There are a ton of clues to it for anybody open-minded enough to see them. So the fact that you expected something else is on you, not the adaptation. We cannot see these things because of the government ban, the creators don't have a choice.
And what are you trying to accomplish by bashing us over the head saying this is not a BL by re-posting this every few comments? To deter people from watching a beautiful series because it doesn't explicitly declare what we all know it's there? The creators of this are brave and took risks to give this amazing adaptation and you want them to be punished because they were born in a country with a TOTALITARIAN regime where people don't have an ounce of freedom? A conservative country is not a totalitarian country. I also come from a conservative religious country where it's still a risk to come out but luckily it's not illegal there are people who come out and hold their partner's hand on the street. In China, you can literally disappear from the face of the earth if you do something that government deems it's dangerous to the regime. It's a fucking regime.
One of the best BL novels out there comes from China and we a lucky when we get a censored adaptation and since we can't take on a totalitarian regime some of us are happy to enjoy whatever we can have. If you can't take that, why put yourself through this and then try to convince other people not to watch it, it's absolutely ridiculous. You are the one who's essentially trying to gatekeep how queer stories are told.
bro the fact that people come here to say their opinion with new/old accounts says it all. Seems like the kbl…
I don't understand why we need to compare and choose one or another. KBL has a place, Thai BL has a place. I'm personally grateful for all of them. I might not love every single BL that gets made but as long as people are interested I'm happy because it means they keep getting made.
Well.. I honestly don't think this relationship will last! I give it a few months or a year if they're lucky!…
But this is closer to what happens in real life though. I like that. We've all liked someone who wasn't quite right for us at one point for one reason or another.
Glad to know you understand you are being mean. You are entitled to your opinion but this was attacking a person's…
'Attacking' is a very strong word for that opinion, so dramatic. Maybe I would feel bad if he were just a young struggling actor trying to live out his dream but he's just a talentless nepo-baby taking the spotlight when there are much better actors out there that deserve a series instead of him. Now that's an attack.
At this point, I'm starting to think Joong is doing it on purpose just to make sure he is not cast with Dunk anymore. The way he's always so stiff when his character is supposed to be in love. He's either a terrible actor or he's trying to tank his chances of either starring again with Dunk or being cast in another BL series altogether.
On the opposite side, I would prefer to not see any emotion from Dunk. He's ok enough when he has a blank face, but when shows anything other than a poker fake I'm out. When he smiles...I cringe. With episode five I finally figured out why I have this repulsion for him despite not being the only bad actor out there. It's because especially when he smiles he looks either severely constipated or very dumb. Not in an adorable dummy kinda way, but in a, ah the second hand embarrassment is real, kind of way. Whenever Dunk appeared on the screen during the debate show I was just cringing like there's no tomorrow. Even his laughter is annoying.
I need Joong to be cast with someone else so I can finally tell if his acting skills are sub-par or if he's just way when starring with Dunk.
I know it's a mean thing to say, but I had to get it off my chest.
I only watched the show (uncut version) for a few characters: Jeng, Chot, Put, and Jaab. Jane and Pat were absolutely insufferable. Their erratic behavior and mood swings were so hard to stand. For the life of me, I could not see why a man like Jeng who has so many qualities: handsome, smart, elegant, kind, and poised would fall in love with a kindergartner like Pat who was so rude, loud, obnoxious, unprofessional, immature, always pouting and crying like a 5-year-old. Just because he is cute and has good ideas? Look at how he behaved when he got negative feedback, my god, I would have fired him on the spot! And their relationship was very bizarre. Pat went from a slight interest in Jeng in the beginning to hating Jeng and bashing him non-stop, to lovey-dovey with Put, to over Put in a second, to grieving after Put, to accusing Jeng of games??? to professing undying love for Jeng, to hating him and abandoning him, to going back to him. What on earth was this relationship? Such a waste of good NC scenes on this mess of a couple.
I was supposed to be against Put because of what he did to Pat in the past but I couldn't help but feel sorry for him for having feelings for this kid. A much better story would have been for Put and Jeng to both ditch Pat and fall in love with each other. Why not?
Chot was very funny and lovable and a great coworker. I wasn't that crazy about Jaab but I didn't dislike him either. Jane was one of the most infuriating second-lead's interests ever. The way he behaved with Jaab was non-sensical.
I'm sorry you took it personally that people criticized some random actor you have a crush on. You'll grow out…
The only hater here is you, actually. I'm excusing your behavior with you're probably very young age because there's no way an actual adult would throw toddler tantrums in various comment threads over people expressing an opinion opposite to theirs.
You are the dramatic one and attacking and swearing at people who just expressed dissatisfaction over an actor's skills. For your own good, you need to find better ways of processing when people disagree with you, because losing your mind over things like this is not healthy.
stfu bro stop it his acting is not even bad yall are just being dramatic asd annd yea whotff r u to judge i mean…
It means go out in the real world and live. You're spending too much time on the web and getting upset about things that don't matter. It's just fantasy.
