i cannot believe i just got a notification for this thread but upper secondary school is 3 years starting at 15, and even if you limit it to class 11 and 12 then 18 is still not the majority (16/17, 17/18) because thats not how statistics work
you could have just said she's a senior about to graduate which makes it likely she's 18, that's a reasonable statistical assumption, instead you said "high schoolers are most of the time adults (18)" which is a bogus statement. idgaf if it's semantics.

severely sidelined actor. it's gmmtv, there are plenty of lesser talents in main roles already. whenever someone has faith in his abilities and puts him in a significant role he performs well. i would die to see him released from the curse of being just-the-best-friend or twin-for-twin's-sake. he's a decent actor and he has a nice face so i really don't understand the hold up. and please, if he's going to be paired with someone let them be close to his age and without a weird fictional dynamic. how hard can that be?

the ratings are extremely harsh. the show isn't the same vibe the average kdrama fan is used to, but that doesn't mean it isn't a great show. honestly if you're a woman or present as a woman in any way, i think you can appreciate watching this show full of leading ladies. is the protagonist unbearable and unreasonable to begin with? yes and i think that's the point. you can still sympathize with the mess she ended up in and appreciate the way she crawled to the finish line. is the boy-mom character unbearable and unreasonable the entire time? yes. you will absolutely hate her. she's a good, aggravating antagonist. maybe you need to be in a certain mindset to appreciate this show but i honestly doubt that. it's a great piece of media, no questions about it. well written and well made. i give it a 9.5/10 only because that old woman wouldn't fucking quit. maybe it deserves the full 10 stars though.

the thing is that sandray as characters and book as an actor are completely unrelated topics, and my comments on both were completely unrelated. my comment was predominantly about first, and since i was writing a comment anyway i gave out all my other opinions. i'm going to be so honest, i don't know how that makes me a hater. i even said myself in a previous reply that book isn't an amazing actor. there's a difference between saying "i'm not a fan" and "he's not the best" and tearing him a new asshole. the same way there's a difference in saying sandray and the audience's response is boring vs shitting on the characters and their fans. that sound reasonable doesnt it?

trust me it's fans of the same people and we all see it happening, like how you seemed to immediately know who i was talking about even though i didn't name any names. no hard feelings though like we're beyond that now, no need to keep using the word toxic and wearing it out. we've moved on.

yess i'm so unconcerned about who's endgame and more invested in having a wild ride because this is the perfect opportunity for some crazy mix and matching between actors, and it's honestly fun to see actors doing something different. book isn't winning any oscars any time soon, but seeing him do something like only friends is exciting!

I think melonmochi's comment is one of the less offensive comments I've seen in this comment section there's really nothing toxic about it they just happen to find a popular couple and their fans boring, and there are significantly worse things to be called than boring

it is beyond your comprehension because the toxicity in question is what i was referring to when i said book gets too much shit in these comments, meanwhile you can't seem to say you find sandray boring (as fictional characters) without the difference in opinions becoming a problem for some people

I agree that both the show is tamer than it'd have you believe from the buildup (but it's gmmtv so I get it) and that the audience response is also boring lol. is it crazy if I really like Ray and mew together? I honestly can't wait for the episode where mew uses ray as a rebound bc why not 🤷‍♀️ also the audience would go crazier if they had a guest actor every episode kissing up on someone, and make it a super random roster too to keep people guessing
