After I got over my devastation with the open ending I am now able to appreciate how poetic the ending was. Bravo. Truly an amazing show. Didn't think any show could surpass my love for Dream of Splendor (tho it's a different kind of show) in terms of quality and heart.

Probably one of the funniest scenes for me is FDB going to a restaurant after being ditched by LLH, and then being recommended the restauran'ts best dishes - all made from lotus, of course! He was so mad haha.
This is the only show where I bother leaving more than one comment on MDL lol. I rarely do this! And now that I'm nearing the end of the show, I'm like, still coming back to read comments. I even feel like reading and writing fanfic!
I heard that the Cctv version will have a different ending. Some people are hopeful that it will be a happier ending but I hate to burst your bubble, I think the iQiyi one was supposed to be the happier one. This one will probably follow the novel ending and it is not one I wanna see 😅😆
Yeah I hear she isn't very popular with some CDrama fans. Personally I avoid her reviews until I watch the drama as I feel it influences how I like//dislike the show. I find more value watching her reviews after I watch the show, unbiased. I find out interesting info especially from a China Chinese perspective. I'm kinda glad she didn't review MLC as I was free to judge for myself. Now I'm curious to see what she says.
