I dropped it after 4 episodes. I just can't with the FL.

I was trying to get into Love Between Fairy and Devil and it was awful to me. Someone told me "just watch until episode 20 - it will get better then!" and I am like that's 20 hours I will never get back and why in the world should I tolerate something bad for so long? I was addicted to MLC from episode 1 and never stopped hungering for more epis. With LBFAD I couldn't wait for it to be over. I think I am just permanently off from xianxia - which is a shame as one of my fav, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms was a xianxia but with such great acting.

You sound exactly like me! I was trying to finish Back From The Brink after MLC and just couldn't do it. The show was so annoying!

It was a super well done show. Sure, it lagged a bit in the end, but the writing & acting was lovely and the leads have great chemistry!

After I got over my devastation with the open ending I am now able to appreciate how poetic the ending was. Bravo. Truly an amazing show. Didn't think any show could surpass my love for Dream of Splendor (tho it's a different kind of show) in terms of quality and heart.
