Once again AvenueX confirming why I no longer watch her reviews. The most downer of a reviewer when it comes to…
i agree with you. i hate that people may take her word seriously and not even try watching the drama. This is what I wrote in my private social media today out of frustration:
So there's this prominent YouTuber who reviews #Cdramas and in her latest video she said that she has done her due diligence by watching 3 eps and can now review it. Darling, that's not due diligence, it's laziness. I rarely bitch about other content creators but I really do not like it when people review dramas that they've not finished. When I was a reviewer for the paper, yes it's common to just watch one/two eps and review, but we make it clear that it's a first impression.
But these are Western dramas whose stories are contained within an ep. U need to watch the whole #Cdrama to form a fair judgement because it could have a slow start or fumble badly at the end. This could affect the overall quality of storytelling. I hardly review dramas I have dropped - if I do I will not rate it. The YouTuber also drops overly negative reviews (posb for clicks) but the reasons she gives are often insubstantial, posb because she didn't do the necessary homework.
the fight choreography in ep 14 was amazing!!! i can't imagine how long they must've practised that wow
it's so slick and we'll edited, and everyone looked like they really were hurting people. Even Qingyan's fight scene was amazing. I also I have no idea how Liu Xueyi managed to fight in that cloak and look so elegant
did I see what I see? that he lost control of his bowels due to the venom? OMG if that's true, that is deep gut…
I actually can't believe the producers went there! usually they want to depict the male lead as ever capable, manly etc, so this was surprising but I really liked that they did that. Liu Xueyi and Wang Jinyan acted the heck out of that scene. That quiet respectful way she just didn't comment and went to gather firewood. His devastated look after, which reminded me of the wheelchair bound Jinghe that she had tried to kill 10 years ago. perfectly acted, all of it.
I can't wait for yall to get to the last ten minutes of ep 13 so we can discuss!!! What an amazing actor LXY is.…
did I see what I see? that he lost control of his bowels due to the venom? OMG if that's true, that is deep gut wrenching for a man as proud as he is and losing his ability to walk again is devastating π
The emperor is actually not a bad dad. Just a clueless dad. It is actually nice to see how fatherly he is to Jinghe. if it was any other dad, Jinghe would've long been executed
