OK folks, I have spent close to TEN WEEKS (you wouldn't believe how I couldn't find the right pics to express what I was trying to say until a few weeks later) writing/revising this article below. Anyways I think it's now polished enuf to get public attention!
Here are my reasons detailing why TKA is a spoof of:

I think the best plan for them would be to shove all 75 episodes of S2 into a 2 hour movie. No seriously, lots of ppl want to see a conclusion to S1, but I can see a movie being more profitable and cost effective for the company.
Wolf Warrior 2 made USD 800M on a 30M budget. They just need to hire a smart financial planner to turn 15M into 30-45M at the box office for a T&E movie...
Hello, while I don't necessarily agree with your points, I respect what you are saying but I had some questions…
1. RoCH = Return of the Condor Heroes (it's the most famous modern Chinese work written in 1961, not the most loved which is LoCH = Legend of the Condor Heroes, the prequel to RoCH). RoCH is getting a 3-D movie trilogy by Hark Tsui and also a new TV drama adaptation.
2. How is NiF1 a separate genre? They both deal with Imperial family/lifestyle. T&E even features some actor(s)/actresse(s) from NiF1.
3. NiF has the top C-drama score on this site, so of course I will rate it close to T&E.
4. T&E has superb production value. Remember when the Empress asked the Emperor to hate her? He said no he had absolutely no feelings for her. If I didn't list some negative points about T&E, then I would just be like the Emperor not caring at all for the Empress...
A second season is unlikely. The two main male leads have already committed to or are working on other projects.…

This drama takes Imperial stuff really seriously:
- Shows you what the Sovereignty Seal looks like in the last Ep.
- In the Forbidden City, there are these lizard-like creatures perched on top of totem poles. They don't have anuses, but eat gold so they can't excrete them and are said to bring prosperity. T&E even has this in the form of a golden beetle that MYS keeps around that eats gold nuggets.
10X better cliff-hanger ending than Princess Agents. I don't really care if PA gets a 2nd season. I really want to see a 2nd season of T&E though. I hope they make enough profit from this season to consider another one...
OMG you guys who have dropped the drama don't know what you're missing... There's an EPIC boss battle in Ep73-4 between Charmer-powered MYS and that Wizard that Muyun De kept by his side...
On Youtube I saw a clip of Han Jiang and Su Yuning kissing, but I don't remember seeing it on any of the episodes.…
Where did it take place? If it looked like in some kind of Queen chamber, then it could be the scene within the underground city where SYN pretends to kiss HJ so she could grab his spear from behind and stab herself with it...

For me the top 4 most annoying chars in the series:
1. SFHY
2. Helan Iron Wielder
3. Muyun Princess
4. Nanku Yue Li
These 4 chars contributed the most pain to my viewing of the series.
Basically, I think the production had a great theme: The best ruler is someone compassionate not someone power-hungry, deceptive, or resorting to dirty tricks and abhorrent acts. But was executed rather poorly.
It's a great drama on its own, but next to Eagle Flag probably won't have 50% of the latter's glory/execution...
P.S: The tribal ppl so cheated. They only won because off the use of magical powers. Take away their werewolves and spells to disperse war horses...
OK, I have seen up to Ep68 ENG subbed and a little bit beyond of the RAWs.
I've come to a critical junction point to be able to judge the drama from what transpires next.
This critical junction point will determine whether the drama gets an A or B grade OVERALL.
But first, anybody ever seen the movie The Banquet (released in the late 2000's)? Basically the Crown Prince played this dumb-as-f*ck char who only loved music and dancing. This feigned outer appearance threw off a lot of ppl. Meanwhile, he was really plotting these really devious ways to dispose of his enemies, who were all vieing for the throne, his throne.
So, whether T&E will get an A or a B grade from me will depend on this:
Is MYS as dumb-as-f*ck to land himself inside a hanging cage, or was he really scheming to have his enemies killing each other?
A grade: MYS is a brilliant strategist who voluntarily caged himself so as to deal out his trump card.
B grade: MYS really is dumb-as-f*ck to get himself hanging caged in the first place, and he needs someone like the other half-Charmer to come and save his arse.
B- grade: All above from B-grade category, only he suddenly releases his Dark Side and regains the throne by his own force, which mean he's still dumb-as-f*ck to get himself hanging caged in the first place...

It is to be expected, T&E is just one of many stories set in Novoland. The production team merely treated it as an appetizer. The main course will be Eagle Flag!

Not at all.
Novoland: Castle in the Sky (high school production / mama bear)
T&E (university level production / papa bear)
Novoland: Eagle Flag 2019 (baby bear / gets it right not to hot not too cold???)
Most of the criticism of T&E is coz of the style. In attempt to distance itself from the previous Novoland IP, T&E has adopted a dark and gritty plus reality-TV type camera angles and plotlines, hence the criticism.
I believe that the next Novoland IP after T&E will get it right (they better get it right coz N:EF is not for messing around -- it will be the most expensive TV drama China will have ever produced up to now...)
Even though heaps of comments are so negative about this drama, I will still watch it till the end. I am still…

Still think it's the best C-drama I've seen to date despite knowing drama has a cliffhanger ending (and yes, I have seen Nirvana in Fire to even dare say so). This show best illustrates the old adage: It's all about the journey, not the end result...
