I couldn't wait for subs so I just went ahead and watched it raw (which is super rare for me). I think I get the gist of it and aside from pushing through the cringe, I'm finding it really entertaining so far. I like the ML a lot, he's super sweet <3

I agree, at least it sets expectations. There's been 28 eps so far and still not much reveal on the FL aside from her just following him around lately. I would've liked more background on the other gentry as well.

Like many, I was hoping this would fill the Fuheng/Yingluo void. Despite that Yao Zi Jin did many things to protect Zhu Zhan Ji, it truly pales in comparison. The production, costumes, and acting are top notch. Unfortunately, the story is low grade imo.
