Oh thanks! I tend to go the opposite route of the mob mentality, not sure if that's a good or bad thing. But to be clear "like" is a strong word lol. I watched it from beginning to end so it wasn't so bad that I'd drop or skip scenes. There were major factors that stood out to me that not a lot of dramas have so that's why the points I made in my initial post resonated so much. But I can honestly say I like a lot of the scenes with the leads plus the OST and Su Mo's character hurts my heart which is not very common. They will be saved on my playlist =)
There were a lot of flaws in this series and most people already mentioned it, however a few positive things I wanted to highlight:
Good looking cast - this for me is somehow rare to come by and yes, it does include Li Yifeng. He is solid attractive to me and I'm just thinking ya'll must have not seen all the eye assaults I have come across in other series XD
Great OST - there are a couple of songs that while listening to just breaks my heart. It could be the melody or a combination of them being played during certain scenes but to hurt my feels like that, it's pretty powerful.
Amazing ML - I've seen just too many toxic, aggressive, and nasty MLs so Su Mo was a rare gem. His personality got kinda confusing towards the end but overall he's a soft and pitiful character. He is my biggest takeaway from this series.
If this series was a waste of time, I'd have nothing positive to say about it or have any triggered emotions. I'm grateful for the good parts and will definitely rewatch the leads' cute scenes!

I agree, the leads are the only reason I’ve stuck it out. Their affection for each other grew mutually while Na Sheng seemed to have latched on to Yanxi like the jaws of life 🤦🏻♀️

I agree, he's very considerate and even seems like he's shipping the leads sometimes! I think they could've spiced up his character to make him more powerful, that would be interesting. My favorite SML however, is Xing Chen from The Sleepless Princess. He was an exception to me =)

I read that Yang Mi has a super strict diet and one time on some reality food show she literally ate one piece of noodle and that was it! I'm scared for Luo Yunxi, I feel like he might fall in that category which would make sense since he was a ballerino. Hope I'm wrong though.

Omg, yaaass celebrities in China in particular are literally skin and bones and it's scary looking. I can't imagine working long hours in dramas or performing on stage with so little fuel.
