The mark disappears when they fall in true love. And whoever they fall in love with is the only one they can ever…
Doesn't matter if she still loved him, her circumstance prevented them from staying together. Relationships are complex, people don't always stay together regardless of time period.
The mark disappears when they fall in true love. And whoever they fall in love with is the only one they can ever…
So it's not their choice to only love one person? It's a mermaid rule and they're incapable of loving another? Like if the person they choose falls out of love, they're just stuck and can't find someone else?
Not really my type of genre but I pushed through because of some clips I saw. I appreciated the unique angle of the cross dressing FL being a playboy and really taking on the role of a male heir for her clan but there was a lot of cringe. Despite what most people said, I thought the implicit ending was the most entertaining.
Omg, yaasss! The original synopsis on MDL was incredibly misleading. I endured this ridiculous drama because I wanted to know how the relationship between the emperor and Haishi developed. Come to find out it's all a hoax! This drama had everything I hate in cdramas:
Watched 37 dragged out pointless eps, 37 hours of my life completely wasted.
Haishi who's supposedly a badass soldier who seeks revenge but in actuality all she does in 37 eps is pine over her beloved shifu. Her whole world is her precious shifu. Lost count of how many times she said shifu. Of course the cold ML, who controls everything in regards to Haishi. The whole, I'm going to hurt you to protect you bullshit. Plus he's no bueno on my eyes, imo. Which was a whole other struggle! Also, not about that parent/child relationship.
The emperor who at first was so deeply in love with Zhizan it was very heartbreaking but he ends up loving her twin sister, um ewww. There goes the forever love concept, just found a substitute in the family. Weak dumbass women like Tilan and her minions. Endured countless eps of abuse just to fall in love with her sister's husband. He took a consort and she was just complacent.
Secondary leads are boring af. Don't know why stalking is considered romantic.
You said it perfectly, toxic masculinity at its finest. Like who wrote this shit?!
Yeah sounds like she inhaled helium but she didn't...
The first time I heard it was when she did a duet with her ex husband of a really nice song. Needless to say she ruined the song for me. Wasn't expecting to hear that voice for an entire series.
I don't know if anyone else find this series slow and frustrating?
Yaasss! In any other drama, I would've dropped by ep 5, but I'm ridiculously holding out to see how Hai Shi and the Emperor's relationship develops. However, it's already past half way and this nonsense has not gotten any better! People are saying historicals are slow and long and it's dragged to compensate for novel transition to drama but I call bs on that. Good writing/directing is fact no matter the material. This is such an epic fail so far and I might end up rating this drama a 1.5 at this point. Seems like a complete waste of time.
In the most unexpected and twisted turn of events, I sort of prefer the idea of Fang haishi with the sadistic…
I ship them too but I don't think he's sadistic. I think his character is complex and I'm waiting til the end (if I can make it) to conclude what his character is truly like.
