I feel like writer has given all the love and happiness to jing and all other characters , suddenly she remembers…
From her POV as a writer, a tragic character/story is always remembered. She created him as this picture-perfect guy out of a woman's dream, but also someone a woman wouldn't ever dare to dream of. Someone who is unattainable, acc. to TJC himself.
I think Tong Hua did give him "someone" who'll love him unconditionally.... us.. haha. In a sense. Isn't that why he was also novel readers' favorite (: She didn't create XL for XY. She created him for us ~ Albeit not the happy one we would actually want.
I was just thinking something similar after watching XL clips. XY keeps asking FFB, who he is, and his answer…
Also thought of every time XY asks, "Who are you?" and XL every time answers, "Who do you want me to be?" that those questions have double meaning into them. It's actually nice to do some reading between the lines of these dialogues.
This is actually my first and last watching such drama.. haha.
No, I meant, with a harem-themed drama.. haha. I don't mind angst as long as there's just one ML and FL. But LYF's case is different (: If you board the wrong ship right from the start, you'll sink with it at the depths of the sea, never to be seen again...
It's supposed to be a reverse harem drama, but I didn't expect for XL to be abused all the way from beginning…
I think we wouldn't be feeling as sad if TJC isn't doing such a phenomenal job as XL... but HE IS! The depth of his understanding of XL is what makes XL so alive in our eyes as viewers. He can just act with his eyes and convey thousands of feelings with them ~ And it evokes so much sadness and heartbreak in us for him.
Idk if someone already shared this, but here's Tan Jian Ci on his martial arts training as XL ~ The moves are even better behind the scenes coz they're faster than in the drama. He's almost like dancing.
That's why I liked about LTTG as well. Things can get brutal and dark, really contrast to FL funny life. Makes…
Although I didn't watch LLTG, but agree. It's actually happening right now. Some of us are enjoying peace, while some are embroiled in war and suffering, fighting for survival.
Beautifully said! When I saw the dance scene play out alongside XL's fight, I couldn't help but think back to XY's…
Indeed ~ I think also that scene emphasizes the fact that every time XL leaves, XY always has that look of sadness in her eyes as she watches him slowly fades. Which is the thing she doesn't want, being left alone or being abandoned. Watching someone's back as they walk away from her. Her wishful thinking, "If only you could just be FFB," means she likes what she have with him. Also, if you remember in Ep. 25 when XL was injured and went to her room, when she told him the next morning they should say their goodbyes. And yet when she came back, she even made a poison for him and is expecting XL would still be there, only to find him actually gone. So even tho she told XL to leave, a part of her also wants him to stay.
yeah, in rl it might be wise to marry someone like Jing, but only after you had your FUN with someone like XiangLiu…
XL is the boyfriend and TJS is the husband π And agree, only Team Demon has been giving me the laughs I needed in this drama, since the Qingshui Town arc. Without it, it's mostly gonna be melancholic.

The raters are not even a third of the watchers so it will surely rise more (:

The BTS is more raw. In the drama, they put effects to make it beautiful and graceful.

Am glad you also felt the same way I did. Means it both resonated with us.
