One thing that I love about this drama, besides, of course, the two main leads, is the attention to detail. Everything that's being shown is of significance later on so you'd have to have your eyes and all senses wide open while watching. This is also one of the dramas so far that I've watched that is focusing more on the main leads. The fact that a lot of the episodes are mostly dedicated to them. There's not a lot of unnecessary scenes or even a character. They all play a part. Everything that happens and will happen is of importance. And the story is not confusing. Easy to follow.

I usually avoid Cdramas before because of the long episodes. I started a lot but haven't finished most. So this will be the Cdrama that I will finish while it's currently airing. And I think even if this was intended to be 80 eps, I would definitely still finish it 😁I can and will never get enough of Yang Zi and Cheng Yi ❤

Her character is too selfless to a fault, and too forgiving. She is a flawed character, which makes make it room for growth, that hopefully, the writer will be able to show.

Precisely. I also see some people hating/disliking him. If you have a depth understanding of his character, one wouldn't feel that way. You have to put yourself as a viewer in the position of the character to fully have a grasp of what his character tries to entail. Sure, he is not perfect and right in some of the ways he handled things, but at that point, it was what he believes is right for the situation. He has to think over the consequences of every decision he has to take as to not jeopardize Yan Dan's safety. In every decision that he has made, he has always put Yan Dan first in his mind.

He and Yan Dan both suffered in their own rights.

I am also curious as to what was that that fell into the lotus pond that came from him. They emphasized that particular one so I think that'll be explained in the future episodes.
