Altho you have to consider it's when the Hongs were kicked out is when they learned about Dahye. The ex-lover will be concluded, I think, esp. since he was still threatening Dahye in Ep. 14.

Oh, right, that's actually a thought one can question coz, yeah, it's not a norm to Koreans in general accepting a child of a woman with another man, even for normal families, not just chaebols.
Soo Cheol's mom was blatantly against it tho when Dahye suddenly appeared in Yongduri and she didn't hide her dislike (until she saw how that witch threatens Dahye and then she interfered and took baby Gunwoo) . The father, on the other hand, didn't react that much, tho. Considering the father also accepted Hyun Woo, a man with a humble background, shows he doesn't discriminate based on social status. And the way I understand his personality, maybe since this is what Soocheol wants, he just didn't say anything much. I don't think the father is that controlling of his children's decisions. Evidenced also by the fact he wasn't upset or angry at Hyun Woo after knowing about the divorce but if maybe perhaps he's meeting with other tycoons.
Maybe PJE just wants to write something outside of Korean norms with Dahye. That one can still be accepting of women who already has a child for their son. There's this drama called Once Again where two sisters both married to guys who are also brothers and I don't think that's acceptable in Korea. Perhaps it's not acceptable but it doesn't mean it's impossible to happen.
