Mo Fang and Fu Rongjun are technically one because in the novel Fu Rongjun's true love was Mo Fang and it was hinted that Mo Fang was beginning to develop a mutual attraction to him, but all that got censored in the drama.
P'Sammon is already impressed by Bible and Jes's strong chemistry and intensity just from their very first chemistry reading and now the first day of filming. It all sounds very exciting!
Thanks so much for putting this together! The Spirealm is definitely one of the best dramas of 2024 so far and I'm excited that fans around the world will finally be able to watch it on iQIYI when it gets released internationally. <3
The fact that the show has already gained astonishing amounts of popularity in China even though it hasn't aired, imagine how much bigger it's gonna be since iQIYI will be releasing it on international streaming??
He's so versatile and beautiful on The Legend of Shen Li as the celestial prince, Fu Rongjun, and for some reason, he reminds me of Hyun Jin from Stray Kids.
As with all Chinese danmei/BL novels, they become dangai (censored romance) when they get adapted into a live action series, but imo Ruan Nanzhu and Ling Jiushi's relationship has very strong romantic vibes.
The show is actually doing a pretty good job hinting at Fu Rongjun's romantic feelings for Mo Fang even with the censorship, like the jade symbolism they used in this scene:
Every leak I've seen of this drama just makes me want to see it more. Tan Jianci and Chen Zheyuan's chemistry in this CLEARED and it's not even out yet. 😌
Per usual, censorship won't allow viewers to see romantic love between two men in a Chinese production, but in the novel, Fu Rongjun is one of the openly LGBT characters and fell deeply in love with Mo Fang. It was unrequited, but Mo Fang is the reason why his demeanor changes from being a playboy to a more serious and brave person.
P'Sammon, the co-writer of the show, mentioned that the story's plot will be unpredictable and the synopsis is subject to change, but Jes and Bible's chemistry is already very strong from the chemistry read they did and will apparently blow us away!
Fu Rongjun, the Prince of Heaven, and Mo Fang, the demon general/prince are cracking me up lol. They're very much giving rivals to lovers vibes, especially when you find out that Fu Rongjun canonically falls in love with Mo Fang later on in the novel. 🤭😅
Great having the power of clairvoyance makes the storyline so much more interesting. I wonder how it will play into his romantic relationship with Dr. Tyme.
Anyone still doubting BOC should watch this movie without a biased point of view against them because Man Suang is clearly a work of art. The aesthetics, cinematography, costumes, music, and acting were all top notch. Mile, Apo, Tong, and Bas especially brought their A game for the movie so there wasn't a single moment where I felt like I was watching amateurs act. I do agree that the plot could be stronger, but everything else was virtually perfect. I don't even think you see this kind of quality in script writing and all the elements I mentioned in a Thai production often.
All you woke people normalising and supporting lgbt crap are weak and sick in your mind, keep your sick fantasies…
Unfortunately there are many mentally ill people like you living in 2024 with a 1000s mentality. Fortunately, the world will be moving on in the future and gay people will continue to be more accepted without you.
If gay people can watch shows and movies with straight people in them, then straight people will have to deal with a gay man in their shows. It goes both ways. Stop being homophobic and grow tf up.
Watching the show with proper subtitles hits different because the romantic love and devotion that Ruan Nanzhu and Ling Jiushi have for each other becomes more evident with each episode. They would literally die for each other. 🥺
