πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ I think the future watchers need to be told that romance is hardly present…
I have to respectfully disagree with this. From episode 1, you can already sense a very strong attraction between Tharn and Phaya that keeps simmering until episode 7 when they both finally decide to give into their feelings after Phaya declares his love for Tharn. The reason why people might think that the romance is moving too slow is because the show is heavily plot-oriented and there are legitimate supernatural forces preventing Tharn and Phaya's romance from fully blooming.
MDL is the only place where people come to talk about how much they dislike something. It's truly depressing and…
If people judged this show based on the comments of a vocal minority, they would've missed out on an incredible series that's constantly redefining the Boys' Love genre.
This show is honestly just so good at keeping you on your toes. The scene where Phaya starts breaking down in front of Tharn after he confided in him that he's afraid of losing him was utter perfection and the investigation case with Art was emotionally devastating. His pain was so raw and real. Nat Sakdatorn really came for our necks with his stunning performance.
That said, I don't think the NC scene came out of nowhere. It came right after Phaya confessed his love for Tharn and Tharn crying because his heart longed to be with Phaya just as much. They may have only known each other in this life for a short while, but their love has technically been burning for thousands of years over the course of three lifetimes where they failed to be together so the scene serves as a natural culmination of that love imo.
I've been watching him since Secret Crush on You and let me be the one to say that his acting has been ON POINT on The Sign. He's nailing every scene he's in and his chemistry with Babe Tanatat is off the ROOF insane. π€―
Here at this link there are photos from the official Man Suang photobook. It explains what was ChatKhem's relationship…
Thanks for sharing. I knew the original plot was about a romance between Chatra and Khem, but I guess the production team wanted the movie to focus on politics and espionage. Oh well. Maybe the international version we're getting in February next month will have more romantic ChatKhem scenes.
He's got that tragic kind of beauty, with that forlorn look in his eyes. Makes your heart hurt when you look at…
Exactly! In that scene where Tharn was looking at Phaya from a distance standing next to Dao with so much longing in his eyes, I could easily feel his pain. T_T
Did anyone notice that in the trailer around 2:08 there's a scene where they're covered in red. Well in the preview…
I'm pretty sure the two men covered in red paint aren't Phaya and Tharn, but the couple that the team is gonna investigate during the art show in episode 7.
Yes, they are filming about a special episode and there is speculation that Saint will play the role of Phaya's…
Yeah I've heard about that rumor too. It would make things very interesting if he's playing Ticharut, the previous Garuda King and Prince Sakuna-nopparuj (Phaya)'s older brother.
8.6,that's ok but it deserves atleast 9+and who invented that series should get released 1ep every week, they should…
This! The show is really redefining the BL genre and I can't stress enough how insane it is to witness a Boys' Love drama with this kind of caliber and high quality. The Sign deserves more than a 9 imo.
I feel like I'm in the minority enjoying the push/pull dynamic between Tharn and Phaya. I know it may seem like it's taking ages for them to finally be together, but we have to remember that their love story is this epic, ancient, and forbidden thing that's been simmering for thousands of years. They're still bearing the consequences of the transgressions their previous incarnations committed and have to figure out a way to free themselves of their current Samsara (karmic cycle).
In addition to all of this, Tharn has had to deal with the trauma of losing the person he loved and because he's fallen in love with Phaya, he doesn't want him to get hurt so imo it makes perfect sense that he's putting up these impenetrable walls around Phaya to protect his heart.
Not Khem and Thongthai having the same dynamic as my mom and dad because Thongthai literally fell in love with Khem when Khem had zero rizz game lmao.
And maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I actually loved this episode. The Garuda King (Phaya) and the Naga King (Chalothorn)'s rivalry is becoming more intense and I'm sure we'll get more backstory on why Tharn puts so much trust in Chalothorn. That scene alone was A+ acting from Heng and Billy. They DEVOURED that scene.
Wait, itβs not finished yet? Nooo why did I start ππ Iβm on ep 2 and already so addicted DAMNNNN
Fr. I'm much more excited about the 6th episode of The Sign dropping tomorrow than I am about the New Year. It's so hard to wait week after week because whenever an episode comes out, I already want to watch the next one! T_T The Sign is seriously one of the best dramas airing right now.
I'm enjoying this, but this show is all over the place. Cop drama, supernatural drama, BL, goofy romance daydreams…
Acting wooden? Are we watching the same show? I've watched Billy, one of the two male leads, in Secret Crush on You and he's nowhere near as dynamic and animated there than he is on The Sign. His acting has been on POINT here and even Babe, a new actor who's never had a role prior to this series is showing some impressive acting chops.
As for the show being all over the place, the series is based on a novel about a Thai special investigation unit where the main couple discover that they're the reincarnations of two iconic Thai mythological figures; the Naga and the Garuda and destined lovers despite the enmity between those two races of gods. It's obviously going to have a lot going on and imo it's balancing these elements pretty seamlessly.
I've got a doubt. Could someone explain Khem and Thongthai's relationship? Like whatever we know about them so…
Khem and Thongthai dated in college, but according to Thongthai, Khem cheated on him and broke his heart so he decided to end the relationship with him. Khem joined the IDF to be closer to Thongthai because he wants to get back with him and it's implied that Thongthai still has feelings for him.
Billy just confirmed that there's gonna be some really good scenes coming up between Khem and Thongthai so for all the fans waiting to see more of our secondary couple, it's happening this Saturday! π
He's so beautiful and talented. I'm shocked that this is his first acting role because he's outperforming so many other actors in the industry that have been there for years.
